Isn't it safe to assume these figures will follow the trend of being pack ins with Scream factory exclusives? I know Shout factory reportedly was pissed when NECA resold the Silent Night Deadly Night and future releases won't be sold separately.

Hopes: Cropsy with Burning re-release steelbook, Harry Warden with My Bloody Valentine announcement.

Unrealistic longshot: Cloth Jason Goes To Hell figure with special edition of that film.

Nancy Thompson to go along with Scream's first UHD release...I mean if Warner won't do it....sorry, I'll quit dreaming...

That's gonna be 11:00 PM my time. Like years past, I'll try to stay up for the announcements.

If only they had a release party in Nashville like they had for the NFL Draft...

You're in Nashville, too? Awesome! Are you a regular at McKays, as I am?

I used to be. Now I collect 70's/80's early 90's VHS horror more than blu-ray -- unless it's released by Arrow, Scream, or Criterion.

Are one of you the person responsible for selling their review discs to McKays and getting my hopes up in thinking I found a great deal on a niche release only to see it's got part of the back cover cut out?

Cool to see other McKay shoppers here.

I always know there're other true collectors around when I go to McKays and see several DVDs for recently announced Blu-ray titles, like House of Games, Klute, the Craft, etc. I'm always on the look out for OOP titles and occasionally find things like Road Trip, Near Dark, Licence to Drive, and others, but I know there's quite a few others looking to beat me at my own game...

I loathe the slipcovers with the newly commissioned art. It’s the one thing that I wish would stop, at least as regards a label like Scream, who nearly always go with a particular style of drawing that is blatantly unoriginal, uncreative, poorly conceived, and insulting (Arrow is the runner-up offender). I don’t think there’s been more than 2 or 3 titles where I felt the new artwork was actually worth keeping facing the front.

There has been only one case where I liked the newly commissioned art for any release by any company, and that would be Sleepwalkers. That artwork is so damned funny and insane! I still didn't keep the slipcover, though. I've never cared for slipcovers and I always put them in the recycling bin.

If getting rid of the new art/slipcovers would mean a reduction in cost, I'd be all for it.

Here are my Predictions for the Comic Con announcements:

AUDREY ROSE
LEGEND (all four versions including the Director’s Cut, Theatrical Cut, TV cut, and the European Cut)
POLTERGEIST (all films in the series since Shout! now has a deal with both WB and MGM)

I sell mine on eBay (If they are Scream). Make about $10 a pop for them on average.

A lot of people sell their slipcovers, and I don't fault them.

As far as Hammer announcements I hope they announce Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde, the last Hammer horror film I don't own that hasn't already been announced (Lust for a Vampire was the other, which is coming soon.)

I'm a slipcover sl*t! I find them for most movies that have them on blu-ray and buy them if the price is right... I have never bought a Scream Factory without the slipcover (if one is available for it) but I'm starting to ease up on my own self-imposed restrictions now and just finding the slip later, if it's not too expensive.
