Sad to hear The Manitou is an underseller. Entertaining as hell 70's flick IMO.
I actually ordered "The Vampire" and "Return of the Vampire" a few weeks ago and while neither of them had anything to do with the other, they made for a great double feature. TofV also has a great commentary with historian Troy Howarth, especially if your a fan of Lugosi.

I do hope sales for Vice Squad pick up, if only because I enjoy the hell out of that movie. The pre-order went up when I was on a flight, and I ended up placing my order right when I got off the plane.

I wasn't interested in The Green Inferno (the only Eli Roth project I've seen that I liked was the Thanksgiving trailer in Grindhouse), but I do hope that its sales don't turn them off from including soundtracks in their releases. That's always something that I've liked seeing get included in releases...
Strange to hear that about Green Inferno, considering the signed copies run sold out in under 24 hours. I wanted to buy one and emailed them asking if they'd get any more signed, and they said "sorry, that's it."

Sad to hear Vice Squad isn't doing that well. I'll be buying this and haven't pre-ordered so that's at least one more sale.

I would think they would need to give Vice Squad some time considering how under the radar it's been all these years. I mean, does it even really have that big of a cult following?

I honestly had never heard of the film before they announced it, which I found odd because it's definitely in my genre wheelhouse. Since Target had such a good price on it during the Prime sales, I went ahead and blind-purchased it. I can't wait to give it a spin, and I've been thinking about pairing with 'To Live and Die in LA' which I still have unopened from a sale last year.

Yeah it'll be a blind buy for me as well. I preordered on amazon and was able to use that 20% discount they were doing recently. I had never heard of it before either until the early 2010s when I watched Terror in the Aisles (after not having seen it since the early 90s) and got obsessed with seeing it after watching all the great clips of it in that film. I'm really stoked about finally getting to see it!

That sounds like an awesome double feature!

I first saw it on IFC channel when they showed offbeat movies. I loved how grimy it was. I’m surprised the preorders are not where they want. DiabolikDVD said that a lot of people are going to have a Cruising/Vice Squad double feature this week. Scream also said that Ninja 3 was a low seller too and that got a double dip.

I didn't even think about "Cruising"... Looks like a Triple Feature weekend!

While that's definitely too much for my tastes....

I'm assuming it's a 2 pack of both figures? Which, NECA's clothed figures normally go for about 30 bucks retail (if not a bit more in specialty stores), so....I'm guessing limited run, exclusive, "deluxe" two-pack figures is how they're coming to that 80 dollar tag.

Again, still too much IMO, but, I'm also not surprised either.

Will Shout! start giving out the details on their November titles this week? Can't wait to see what the Prophecy cover is going to look like.

I'd be shocked if it was anything other than this:

I'm sure that will be the reverse cover, but pretty this is going to be a collectors edition so kind of interested in their commissioned art.

It will be incredibly busy with the artist trying to cram every scene into the piece.

Their announcements didn't list it as a collectors edition, so i'd be suprised if it is one.

Well that's surprising. This title seemed like an easy shoe in for Collectors Edition.

Would love for it to get the CE treatment. Most likely would come with a slip cover.

As of yet, only Talia Shire and Robert Foxworth were confirmed for interviews for Prophecy. If that's the full extent of the special features slate then this definitely won't be a CE.

(I'm still getting it though!)
