I think it's probably more a cataloging issue on the Copyright Office's part. It wouldn't surprise me if those are on the Shout! list rather than the Ace Film HK Company list.

It's been removed from the Scream Factory website. It's as out of print as they come. My hunch is that someone else has likely obtained the license and will be releasing their own edition at some point but who knows if/when that will happen. For folks interested this might be the last chance to pick up a physical copy at a fair price for some time.

I’m not really interested in getting the steelbooks of Halloween II and III as I’m not a fan of steelbooks, plus importing these two will be more money than I want to pay for these particular titles. For someone who doesn’t own any edition of these two on blu-ray is the Universal releases recommended or the original Scream Factory ones? The Scream Factory ones have the extras, plus they also appealing because they were the first ever Scream Factory releases - but I’ve heard so many talk about how the Universal transfer is superior.

I just found out about the 2017 film Ghost Stories and it looks and sounds very intriguing and right up my alley! I love horror anthologies. Can anyone who's seen this recommend it as a safe blind buy or is it more of a rental first? I'm very wary of straight to video movies.

I bought this from Hamilton Books a few months back and really enjoyed it. Without giving anything away—this is one of those movies that has an ending that you either are okay with or very disappointed with. My best friend said it ruined the movie for him but I was fine with the conclusion.

There are several scenes that I found to be very creepy and effective!

It's one of my favorite horror movies of the last few years, but agree with AKORIS that it seems like a lot of people don't care for the conclusion to the wrap around story. You may want to try to give it a rent first to see what you think.

I can't speak of the Universal transfers, but I really like the SF extras.

Honestly, the steelbooks are the best releases, especially if you're most concerned with the transfers.

If you really don't feel the steelbooks are worth it, and you aren't interested in watching Terror In The Aisles in HD, then just go with the previous Scream releases; the Universal releases may look a hair better than the original Scream releases, but just a hair.

I watched it on Hulu (it’s still on there for those interested) & thought it was only ok. One of the stories had some really good atmosphere, the ending was well done. Not sure if I would blind buy it though. Worth at least a look if you can watch it first before buying then decide if you really want to own it.
