And even though they've been mentioned before I'd like to offer my support for

The Car (1977) (Universal)
April Fool's Day (1986) (Paramount)
I'm not sure we'll ever get a Sony title. They won't allow any extra features to be created, so I just don't think it's worth picking up a film that we can't make a special edition.

Obscure request/suggestion, but William Peter Blatty's The Ninth Configuration would be amazing on Blu. It was a miracle WB even put it on DVD, and even then it was just a straight port of the non-anamorphic UK DVD. If you've never seen it, it's a fantastic movie with some amazing performances.

Has Cliff implied they have any ties with WB yet for Scream Factory titles? Hell, if they did Ninth Configuration, then I'd want Exorcist III along with it (as well as some sort of reconstruction of the "Legion" cut of the film) for the definitive Blatty Trilogy.

No way we'll get Warner titles. They won't even discuss films with us. They want to do everything MOD.

I don't believe so, I think the overall issue with WB remains the same, they just don't loosen there grip on there films for anybody. Such a shame.

In regards to Sony films, that's ridiculous that they won't allow special features to be made. So basically they want indie labels to pay them to license out films but they deny them the opportunity of making them better than any of there barebones releases. Such a waste.

I figured as much. Too bad. Just think of the wealth of goodies we could get. The Nightbreed: Cabal Cut jumps to mind

Explains the Twilight Time releases. No thanks. Until they change their tune, I won't budge.

At least Mill Creek titles are inexpensive. I can overlook lack of features so long as the price tag reflects it.

I would literally hold all the children of each Viacom board member hostage in order to get the Friday the 13th 5-8 on Blu Ray.

Those are the least of my worries. The Deluxe DVD transfers are excellent and will hold me over until the inevitable BD releases.

Cliff, what are the chances of Friedkin's The Guardian or Thief making a blu ray appearance for Shout/Scream Factory?

Yeah, the lack of features on Twilight Time releases is a shame but then again with the exception of "Fright Night" and "As Good As It Gets", they haven't put anything out that really tickles my fancy anyways. Both of those films certainly deserved deluxe treatments though.

Paramount really needs to come to terms with the "Friday the 13th" franchise. They have no issue re-packaging the films in DVD box sets but as each year passes now, one has to wonder how much longer there going to beat around the bush with future Blu-ray releases. If they have cold feet in releasing the rest of the sequels in fear that the sales will be too low, why not make some form of income by leasing out the series to Scream Factory? Better yet, if need be, why not give Scream Factory exclusive Blu-ray rights to the series so Paramount can still milk the DVD box set cow they've grown so accustom to.

That's stupid. Then how do you explain the upcoming Mr. Magoo theatrical set then? That's gonna have new extras. But at the very least, if you plan to release Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, could both Theatrical and Extended Versions be included? Having 2 versions of the film with the trailers at least would be worth the upgrade alone.

As bare bones as TT's Night of the Living Dead may be I'm actually looking forward to them releasing this, having not seen it since it came out back in 1990...I do predict HUGE sales for this...up there with Fright Night!

Here's hoping it's signed by Mr. Tom Savini too!!!

Doubtful though!

Damn. What about all those VHS rips online? I know that probably isn't legal, but it would still be great to see the workprint.
