I almost ordered Invaders from Mars and then had the same thought. I've never seen it, so there's no nostalgic attachment; most likely I'd watch it once, and never again. There's so many films out there it's like pulling teeth sometimes trying to figure out which ones you really need to own or not. (I think special features are often what pushes me off the fence. That's one thing you can't get from streamed rentals.)

I was having the same dilemma myself. Funds will be low for awhile, so I had to let this one go. I was able to catch it on Prime Streaming however. Fun little flick, but I'm glad I saved my $18.

I doubt you'll see a Region A release of the uncut. I believe its been mentioned that it was promised to Adrienne Barbeau. The best we can hope for is a 4K (no region locking) release overseas.

Shout own the Corman film library, so they don't have to make deals with him anymore. I'm sure the Carnosaur flicks will come out sometime.

The steelbook contains the new 4K scan, though.

That being said I really hate the finish on these SF steelbooks. I really dig some of the artwork but man they leave fingerprints and scratch so easily.

And with THAT being said, definitely picking this up for the 4K remaster.

Well we're up to six titles now, so that could be it, though it would be nice to see one more (a CE perhaps).

Corman's kids were suing over the sale. Hence why we haven't seen any Corman titles recently other than Steels of what Shout already had.
