Is this list unconfirmed, or are these titles on the chopping block as well?

That's just a list of MGM-licensed titles released before 2016. I'm guessing their rights are still good or have sold well enough to renew.

I think Vinegar Syndrome is releasing a boxset this month. Sorry if it's been mentioned

Don’t think it’s been mentioned but the VS release is the 4 DTV sequels. Scream’s release covers the first three films. No overlap. I actually wasn’t terribly interested in the SF set before VS’s announcement (though I love Part 2). Considering you can pick up the first three now for pretty cheap and it’s going OOP, the completist in me couldn’t resist.

I'm going to guess they're only letting the rights go for Tentacles for the double feature with Reptilicus . Reptilicus was used in one of the new MST3K seasons so it seems unlikely they would let that expire yet. Which basically means another company wouldn't be able to pick up the rights for a new release.

The Sleepaway Camp sequels going OOP is probably the biggest surprise to me.

Kwyjibo's list is confirmed OOP / going OOP titles. My list was just titles that are past or closing in on 5 years post-release date and could be at-risk.

Those Vincent Price movies have gotta end up somewhere else then. Arrow? Not sure if I should spend the $30 for Volume 2 if I’m only interested in House on Haunted Hill

Went ahead and just ordered Swamp Thing (I know the UK version has extra nudity, but the Scream disc is Craven's preferred cut and the internet is full of boobs) and last night I ordered Robot Jox and, even though it isn't on the list, The Dark Half as Craven, Gordon and Romero are all directors that I want to own their complete filmographies.

There are a few more titles on that OOP list that I think I'd like to own, but I think I'm going to start to narrow my collecting down to finishing collecting certain director's filmographies and if I miss out on some borderline titles, so be it.

Considering some of the titles are now sold out at various retail outlets I'd say they are pretty much out of print as we know no more are going to be pressed. There are a few titles I'd like to grab but thankfully I own close to 90% of the titles mentioned so I'm not in panic mode over this revelation myself. It still boggles my mind that we never once got Garbage Pail Kids for under $20. That and Scarecrows are really the two titles I may try to pick up.

I'm really really hoping someone else releases Ghoulies/Ghoulies II in their uncut varieties (on their own discs) in the US in the future. I like the current disc for what it is, but would love getting the extended/uncut edition of 2 on a Region a friendly edition.

So get them where you can before you have to pay exorbitant prices for them!

Thanks for the info!

Do you know if there are other MGM titles released under the Shout Factory and Shout Selects names slated to be going OOP soon? I'm curious to know if the other StudioCanal/Embassy titles licensed to MGM will be also expiring and having Shout's releases going OOP with it such as Escape from New York, The Fog, The Howling, and The Producers?

The Amityville Horror 1978 is the same transfer as on the 2008 BD. Amityville II and 3D are also MGM HD transfers.

Here’s to hoping Arrow picks up the trilogy and does a new transfer for the first two.

It should be noted that the second Vincent Price Collection is a mixture of titles from Fox (Return of the Fly), Warner Bros. (House on Haunted Hill), and MGM (everything else). Return of the Fly will see new life in Scream!'s The Fly Collection. Since all these OOP titles are MGM, House on Haunted Hill could get a standalone re-release from Scream! For that matter, perhaps not all of the MGM titles in this set are being let go by the label...maybe only certain ones.

The Raven, The Comedy of Terrors, and Tomb of Ligeia are all fun. It's also the only way to get the proper edition of The Last Man on Earth. I actually got the set mainly for The Raven and House on Haunted Hill.
