The Abominable Snowman was delayed till December 10th, 2019 if someone wants to update the list on the first page. Still says Nov. 17th or whatever the original date was.

Dead of Winter is on the OOP list and that was released ~4 months after Lady in White.

Pretty heartbroken about that. I typically extend classic Universal and Hammer viewing into November and am really looking forward to this one.

I'm pretty well stocked on Scream Factory backcatalogue titles, but I dragged my feet on Carrie (2003)/The Rage: Carrie 2 and The Incredible Melting Man. I ordered them from Amazon after this update, and they are scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

Actually, I think we did get ripped off. My copy of SWAMP THING from Amazon arrived today. Yes, the printing looks a tad fuzzy but more damning is the card stock used for the cover. It’s thick...not at all like the thin glossy sheets SF normally uses. There’s also a big MADE IN MEXICO print on the back wrap I’ve never noticed on any other titles, and the case is clearly labeled as Vortex Elite. Unless there was a period where SF’s cases and printings were drastically different than the norm (and hopefully someone can chime in claiming these details as legit one offs), these appear to be quality bootlegs.

I’m shocked my copy of EXORCIST 3 just shipped with a slip, so it’s certainly a possibility.

All US pressing facilities were closed and moved to Mexico last year. Since that time Scream Factory has used a number of different cases. What you describe sounds like it may have been the last time the film was pressed to disc (with it now going out of print and all) in that Mexican plant.

I've had a number of US releases come with "Made in Mexico" labels on the back cover. I've never paid them any mind because I've seen them from a number of studios. I can't remember if I've ever seen one on a Shout Factory release, but I wouldn't be shocked if I had.

Edit: Just checked my collection and unfortunately I had swapped cases for Swamp Thing some time ago to combine different releases but did note that on my copy of The Mangler (Produced after the pressing facility swap) that it does indeed have a large "Made in Mexico" stamp on the back. Additionally, Silent Night Deadly Night 2, The Mangler, Critters Collection, etc all utilized varying cases. As I mentioned before, I have great confidence that what you both have is a legitimate Scream Factory release that was simply the result of lower quality production.

Post a pic of the Swamp Thing disc, it's pretty easy to tell if something is a BD-R or not. They have a distinct look.

Ultimately, I’m fine as long as the disc plays as it’s supposed to. I would just hate for there to be someone making dough off of SF bootlegs.

It certainly doesn’t appear to be a BD-R (not purple or featuring obvious burn lines) but I’ve heard of bootleggers making discs that appear commercially produced.

Was going to pick this up for Halloween anyway after I saw it locally a couple weeks ago and remembered they released it. The store sold it, so I snagged it off eBay. Definitely didn't want to miss out on this classic ghost flick.

For those that are region free, don't forget to check other countries amazon sites to see if they have their own releases of these titles on blu. No, it won't be Scream factory, and maybe not as many extras, but it's still nice to have the movie. If Shout/Scream is putting them oop, someone else will get my money. Disabled, making 9K a year, and probably 3K of that on blu's, I cannot keep up even though I try. I try hard to support labels, and have over 30 Shout/Scream releases. Someone else will get my money though, if I find those titles that I want from another label and/or country.

I, Madman is a title I'm glad I didn't sleep on. I would have been really annoyed had I missed that. Some of the others I managed to grab a few months ago and the rest I'm interested in, I'll just get the UK releases. Stigmata from Eureka and Ghost Town from 88 Films etc. BTW, I'm not 100% sure, but I think Arrow Video have said that their release of Howling II is nearing OOP status as well.

I noticed the printing on my insert for Blood from the Mummy's Tomb appeared to be fuzzy... I thought I was going crazy for a while, although I guess it happens somewhat regularly going by the comments in the last few pages. Not a huge deal as the disc is perfect, but it's still a little annoying...

I'm glad the OOP list was posted. I had most of the ones I wanted but had dragged my feet on a few. Garbage Pail Kids (I know I know), Howling II , and Invaders from Mars are supposedly delivering from Amazon later this month. I guess I missed out on the Amityville Trilogy.

Already had most of the ones I wanted, thankfully. Jumped on Sleepaway Camp 2 & 3 while I could. Might have gotten Ghoulies 1 & 2, won't know till it actually ships. Ordered Carrie double feature form Target, but that's very iffy since the box art and title don't match the description. Assuming I'l get a double feature of the original and recent remake that I'll have to return.

Missed out on High Spirits, though. Third party order got cancelled almost immediately and that's not a movie I'd spend that much on.

Got Leviathan and The Town That Dreaded Sundown today. (Still not used to getting mail deliveries on Sundays.) One of these days, I'd love to have the poster for Sundown on my wall. Such sweet poster art.

I actually just went back and checked and Amazon has Amityville for sale. It's supposed to deliver in 1-3 weeks.

That’s dependent on them getting more stock. If the release is OOP, then it’s not likely they will, or get enough to cover all their orders.
