Ikr!

I liked the art a guy posted on here that he made a few weeks ago. It was great! I hope they don't go into a lot of pointless detail layered with giant floating heads. Their earlier art was far superior.

I'm pretty sure it isn't going to please a lot of people here.

Then this whole thread will become a debate about the art work and not about the important thing. We are getting the movie on blu ray...

The Ugly being my favorite choice, great film. I don't know who has US Distribution rights for these films, probably no one? would be the coolest thing ever to see some New Zealand horror films on Blu-Ray

That's great news! I like when the original artwork is retained.
Does anyone know if the slipsleeve for The Howling is reversable? Just curious as I really like that original art.

The slipcovers feature the new artwork. The cover itself is reversible.

It would have to be something where the slipcover latched closed, like with a small piece of velcro or some sort of thing like that. Or maybe something where a tiny magnet is build into the slipcover and it could close shut either direction.

Are you listening, Cliff? With reverse covers and slipcovers, you could have the world's first quadversible cover!

I loved MGM's DVD slip for THE HOWLING - it was simple - just the scratches and the image of the screaming woman through them. Not sure if that was the original poster art but it looked great. I chucked the disc when Shout announced their BD but kept the slip. I'm hoping for a great new transfer for this Blu.

I hope you at least gave it to a friend/fan rather than just throwing it in the trash.

I hope they use one of these arts for the reversible COMET cover:

I much prefer the look of this one, but I don't think they'd choose an Italian cover regardless.

If his Howling DVD is like mine the widescreen side of the disc freeze... but I'll keep mine anyway just in case some extras aren't ported to the new Shout! Factory release.

Preliminary specs indicate all extras have been ported, except perhaps the Dick Miller easter egg interview.

Perhaps Scream can include that as an easter egg!

Buy.com Mandy lane

"ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE" is finally getting a theatrical release in the United States! TWC and Radius are putting it out later this year.

If you need confirmation, just google "Mandy Lane" on google news. There are a ton of links to this news story.

A little off-topic, but I just had to share it with a lot of you who've been talking about Scream possibly putting it out!!
