lol... I ordered Demented from Amazon by itself. Amazon themselves, not a 3rd party seller. It came to me in a big ass box for some reason (for just this one blu), almost big enough to ship a game console in, and completely covered with a thick layer of dust all over the whole blu case. Otherwise everything was fine, shrinkwrapped, and normal. Just thought it was super bizzaro, even by Amazon standards.

A second SF slipcover is like money in the bank. Just wait until the pre-order runs out of the exclusive slip, and you could probably sell it off later for $20 or more.

I feel like I should test this theory. I still have the alternate slipcover and both posters for their first deluxe release, Return of the Living Dead still in their original mailer. This was back when posters were folded.

This. I usually wait a year or two and then sell my Scream Factory slips in lots. I usually clear about $100 a bundle.

I think their first deluxe release was The Thing, followed by Return of the Living Dead or Carrie. Nonetheless, let us know the outcome if you do test that theory!

I finally got a shipping notice for the Destroyer/Edge of Sanity double-feature that I purchased directly from Shout back in October 12th. Looks like the remaining stock finally arrived from their warehouse/supplier.

I ordered 3 items on Shout's store 8 days ago. All of them appeared in the "soon to be OOP" list posted a week ago... and nothing shipped yet so I asked about it to Shout's customer service and I received a scary answer ( ) : "Unfortunately, the titles are back-ordered at our warehouse. We do expect them to be back in stock and shipping in the next 10 business days."

Is it normal? (as they're supposed to be the owners of all the remaining stock for those titles so I thought they were announced "in stock" while supplies last )

I don't know how it usually goes by Shout Factory's store standards, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask about it here. Maybe some of you would know and could tell me if I should worry
Thanks for your help.

I don't know if this is normal practices for Shout/Scream Factory (I hope not), but my order came through. I was in the same position as you, ordered a few titles that were soon-to-be or already OOP (Without Warning and Garbage Pail Kids). Both titles were shipped separately despite placing them on one invoice & charged for shipping once. You should be okay with your order.

I’m sure it’s been brought up since SF has the rights to paramount and all the legal battles going on but you think it’s going to clear and SF will come through and save the day and release a ultimate Friday the 13th box set as they did with Halloween? I can legit see it now! All films on their own disc with each VHS artwork, UNRATED cut of Goes to Hell, maybe unrated cuts of rest of the films, new extras, booklet. 🤤🤤🤤 just take my money!!!

I can imagine this can be the sole reason for getting the Paramount licences... And it will be incredible.

If Friday the 13th Part 3 is in Blu-Ray 3D & part of the collection (like Scream has done with the Amityville Horror collection), sign me up!!!

I have to agree 100%. Usually I don't complain because it's not usually THAT bad. The background part is cool though. I guess they where trying to make it similar to the recent release on the original movie? I'll still buy it regardless.

MBV looks a lot better.

I would rather they focus on stuff that hasn't been released on BD yet.

I want Tales From the Darkside: The Movie!!!

Ditto. Enough of the repetitive releases. Bring on something new that hasn't already seen a BD or Region A release.

I'm with on Tales from the Darkside. However, I need Jason Goes to Hell uncut. There is so much cut in the R-rated version in terms of gore it's truly surprising.

You know what I wish? That Scream would secure the rights to Robert Harmon's The Hitcher...

Holy crap-in-the-pants would that title benefit from a Scream treatment of a fresh 4K (or even 2K) scan and audio overhaul....the HBO/TriStar DVD is an abomination.

I think there was a non-region 1/A BD of the title released, if I'm not mistaken, but to receive a true Scream workover would be killer.

And (like Carrie) they could give the original a collector's edition while the remake / sequel get a double feature.

I have absolutely no love for the remake (rented it when it came out but couldn't stand Sean Bean in the lead; he was no Rutger Hauer, I'll tell you that) but agree the original would make for an awesome Collector's Edition Blu.

Also, I felt that the story didn't need a sequel, even if Howell returned in the role of Halsey; just making Ryder some seemingly evil unstoppable force who is eventually stopped by multiple rifle shots was totally effective enough IMO.
