Just a note, but as a fan of King and COTC,

I believe the Arrow version is the only place to get the remastered 1983 short film "Disciples of the Crow" inspired by Kings story.

That seals the deal for me as to what version to get

I know it's a bad movie, but I did the same. Except I paid about $30CAD. Way too much and way more than I wanted to pay. Kept waiting for a drop in price but didn't happen. That being said, I'll proudly say I actually enjoy this movie Caught it on TV one night a few months ago when I couldn't sleep. It was my first time seeing it and I enjoyed it for what it was. Stupid and fun. Happy to have it in my collection.

Part 2 is available in the UK in a Region B locked edition.

Part 3-6 is available in the US via Lionsgate on a multifeature disc. Part III also has it's own disc release over sea's in a Region B locked edition.

Part 7 (Revelation) has never had a blu ray release.

The Remake and Runaway both have their own US discs.

The series will not be a part of the Scream Factory lineup due to the licenses being split between different distributors and more so, because Lionsgate thus far does not license out films.
I love this series and own what's available on Blu-ray. Revelation is the lone holdout, and I can't imagine it's ever going to be anyone's priority to release an HD version. I think its best chance is appearing in 1080i in a foreign boxset.

Aren't these former Miramax/Weinstein properties?

Unless something changed that I’m unaware of, Lionsgate currently has control of the Miramax/Weinstein/Dimension library.

I'm pretty sure I'll never order directly from Shout again. They "shipped" my order four days ago, and the Tracking # says USPS still awaiting to receive it to actually ship it. I tried to keep my negativity to myself, but their ordering/shipping procedures are not working out for me.

At least now I know, so I'll stick with third party distributors. *Still love Scream Factory, so I'm NOT bashing them as a company. I own a lot of their blu-rays...

I stopped ordering from Shout a long time ago. I used to enjoy the "two weeks early" option, but when they stopped doing that I stopped buying directly from them.

Piggybacking on that story, here's a complete list that includes non-Scream titles, as well as direct links to our store (when possible) where you can get them. I've noted which titles are DVD only in Green. The rest are Blu-rays.

Again, I'll keep you updated when possible as these things happen. To remind everyone, we have not lost our relationship with MGM.

Maybe they actually shipped it using "UPS SmartPost" or "UPS Mail Innovations" (like they did with my order last week). It travels with UPS first and then they hand it off to USPS for final delivery. The tracking# that Shout gave me was USPS and the tracking info did say that they were waiting to receive the item. That might be what they did to your order.

I also will never order directly from them again after taking 3 weeks to ship items that were supposedly in stock. They need help. I will stick to Amazon, Bullmoose, and practically anyone else.

My Amityville Horror Trilogy is lost in the post Rarewaves refunded me for the order as it has been over a month, but I’m more angry because they actually sent me a copy 2 months back, which arrived damaged and I sent that one back to them for a replacement a few days before it was announced as going OOP. Rather than wait for Rarewaves to receive the one I sent back and replace it, I bought a second copy, this time from their Amazon storefront (previous one was from their eBay shop). So the second one dispatched and a few days later they sent me an email giving me a refund for the first set as they couldn’t source any more copies for a replacement. But now the second one I ordered as gone AWOL. I’ll wait and see if it turns up, if it doesn’t then I’ll just grab the Australian release.

It wouldn't shock me to see another studio (VS perhaps?) grab these and release another set. Given that VS has gotten into the habit of creating slip covers for past releases I could easily see them releasing the original trilogy of films if they had interest in releasing them, themselves with new scans and then offering to sell an empty larger outer box set shell to house all 8 the original films (maybe providing a foam insert for part 5 so that in the off chance it were to be released later on down the line as well it could be included, or better yet, releasing part 5 as a bundle with the outer box so that if folks purchased it they'd have the full collection)..

I can definitely see VinSyn licensing from MGM so new editions of the first three Amityville films are entirely possible. They could sure use fresh scans, actually.

True, it’s bound to be released by someone in the future, maybe Arrow in the UK - although Second Sight released the first film, so maybe just the second and third.

I’m sure someone from VS on Facebook has denied Curse as being the true part 5, claiming that their set is 4-8. So it doesn’t appear they’ll be pursuing The Amityville Curse.
