I really hope not. VS is just much too niche of a company for huge titles like that.

I can't. They've said in the past that major studios only want to deal in bulk titles, so it's not likely that Vinegar Syndrome would be able to cherry pick the Amityville films and scan them from the original negatives.

Default Stigmata

For anyone who missed out on Stigmata the Blu-ray in the 2 disc Capelight limited edition Mediabook is English friendly. It played fine in my region A player even though the packaging says it is region B. It is available from Rarewaves on Ebay and Amazon.

Yep, I believe in the Facebook group they shared a pic of one of the film reels for It's About Time and it's labelled Amityville 5.

EDIT: screenshot with post for anyone curious. Enjoy.

Forget another blu-ray release, release the trilogy in 4K UHD format.

I don't know if there would be enough demand that a smaller company would pay up to re-release the first 3 Amity on blu again. The Shout box set has been around for years and people had plenty of opportunity to get it while Shout was still printing them. I guess anything is possible but I don't know that a smaller company would pay up to release something that most of the fans would already have. Maaaaybe if someone could release some stacked release that draws in new demand but not for the same old thing repackaged. Best bet would have been Shout being able to extend it for a nominal fee. Just my opinion. Who knows.

Thanks for sharing this. One would have thought that this would have been advertised/promoted a bit more during the lead up to the release of the Cursed Collection but this is/was the first I've heard of it. It's always nice to set the story straight however so better late than never.

Lady in white is probably backordered. My copy of howling 2 just shipped today and I ordered on the 11th of October.

Took a month but I'm finally getting my Lady in White tomorrow... I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it while rewatching it this past Halloween. I'm glad I added it to the library before it's gone...

Aren't these former Miramax/Weinstein properties?
After a doing a quick search, it appears that they are right in saying Lionsgate has control over the properties. But yes, those multipacks blow.

As for the quality, I think the premise behind Children of The Corn was a really good one that could of made for something more than the it's "so bad it's good" type of movies(at least after part one).

The first half of the first part was very atmospheric and captured the isolation of the town pretty well.

Imagine if someone like Ari Aster got there hands on the material. Not sure how people around here feel about serious horror(like Aster's stuff).

Considering that the current hot trend is remaking Stephen King properties for new big budget releases I'd say that there is a decent chance that such a thing could happen in the not too distant future.

I'd like to watch COTC 2 & 3 in proper HD.

These multi-pack travesty's don't count.

Does that mean EL CID and THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE are now available for restoration if some distributor was interested?

It's possible that this photo was used to prove that the film was the true part 5, but not a picture of the actual elements used on the release. Perhaps The Negative didn't list the film as being part v but the IP did? Just a thought.

That photo doesn't necessarily mean it didn't. That pic is for showing part 5 on something original from production.

EDIT trips beat me
