I had to look up Shadow Company, I'm pissed that movie never got made!!!!!

As far as I knew Shadow Company is Lethal Weapon, Sean just wanted a couple different badass people to direct and produce

Paramount is distributing Dreamworks films, so they should also have the Mexican.

Please tell me that wouldn't have been the most badass thing ever. All of those guys were at their absolute peak then, and it would have been a hell of a way for them to all close what was their most fertile decade. Imagine that being Carpenter's follow-up to They Live?

Black jut appropriated "Shadow Company" for Lethal Weapon.

As for the other 2 I listed, those were the guys Carpenter specifically wanted to direct in his first western and Sunset Blvd. was written for Clift, who dropped out weeks before production began.

Clift is your favorite actor right? And yeah I'm a gigantic Hill and Carpenter fan so that would have been amazing

He is indeed, and what he would have murdered that role. Easy Oscar.

Hill and Carpenter are my 2 favorites, so the thought of them collaborating at the height of their powers on something that cool wouldn't have even been fair. Black was really inspired by Hill's screenwriting techniques, and Hill even punched up the screenplay a bit (Carpenter acknowledged in an interview that "Walter wrote great tough-guy dialogue.")

If that’s the case then there’s more than enough reason for Shout to release Verbinski films.
I mean I remember hearing people theorizing The Ring could get a Scream release. The latest 2019 release of it was a BD-R sadly.

We should be getting the May titles this week. I really hope one of them is either the Dead Zone, Orca, or Tales from the Darkside.

Yes! Bring on Tales From The Darkside: The Movie ASAP. And how about War of The Worlds (1953).

Well it seems that two of the titles will be the leaked Arkoff ones, so that probably leaves another 3-4. Will Idle Hands be one?

It's been a while since I've seen "Body Parts" and I forgot how unbelievably hilarious it is when Jeff Fahey levels his kid with a vicious backhand after his son elbows him in the ribs when they're messing around. It's absolutely classic.

Indeed, I watched this again last night and forgot just what a brilliantly entertaining film it is. The death of a certain character is truly one for the ages, and there's some wonderful violence. Also hilarious is the deleted scene wherein we see the immediate aftermath of the accident, and
[Show spoiler]Fahey's severed arm being crushed by a truck
. I laughed all the more knowing they still would have kept Lindsay Duncan's 'I'm afraid we couldn't save his arm' line in the following scene. A real unsung gem of a film, and one I'm very happy to have on Blu.

Cronenberg's THE DEAD ZONE would be my top pick for a Paramount title announcement from Scream this week, though if not, I'm at least confident it's coming at some point.

Got my fingers crossed for FRANKENSTEIN AND THE MONSTER FROM HELL and a collector's edition of BRIDES OF DRACULA being in the next round of Hammer announcements.

Might be more appropriate for Shout Select, but I'd love to see a release of Paramount's DRAGONSLAYER; this one actually plays like a horror film much of the time, with some horrific images and scenes
[Show spoiler]that sequence with the dragon's spawn feasting on the corpse of the princess being among the most potent
. Saw it theatrically in the Summer of 1981 and thought it was pretty ballsy how dark this film was willing to get - it certainly wasn't for the kiddies.

The name certainly doesn't sound like it's for kiddies- sounds like it would be right up Vinegar Syndrome's alley more than Shout or Scream! How DO you lay a dragon, anyway?

At this point "Dragonslayer" is probably my most wanted movie not yet released on Blu-ray anywhere in the world.

I'm with you MJD, been waiting for DEAD ZONE forever.
I'd love BRIDES OF DRACULA in the OAR, and MONSTER FROM HELL as well, and then hopefully by the end of the year get CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN.
