Typically pre-orders go up right away after announcements are made and Amazon has these already available for pre-order which means that their is clearly something planned for tomorrow though what exactly remains to be seen. Received both The Wizard & April Fools Day today. I watched The Wizard, while it’s obviously very dated it looks good & has great special features.

I would be highly surprised if it was any kind of F13th blu ray announcement. But at the same time i will be partly disappointed if there is no announcement at all tomorrow and they just made us wait for no reason.

I guess we'll see what happens.

I know of no other reason for them to not have already posted the announced movies for pre-order other than them saving them until tomorrow due to having something else to announce.

In the past announcements have been spoiled when folks pre-ordered titles and then received the "Forget something" e-mails from shout which listed more titles than had been announced thus spoiling an upcoming announcement. My hunch is that all the announced titles are in the system but haven't gone live yet for pre-order because of one more announcement that has yet to be made that could otherwise be spoiled but these promotional emails.

Im hoping this is the case... and I’m really hoping it’s related to a big announcement/update being made on the other side of the pond today.

I hadn't considered that but that would certainly make a lot of sense and seems much more likely than the box set ideas I and others have been floating around.

Sometime today. Scream Factory doesn't have an exact time they announce from what I can recall, but it seems that they like to utilize 3 different times usually. Between 10am and 11am CST if it's an early announcement (which if anything is coming today this is when I'd expect to hear it). Around 2pm CST if it's after lunch and then in rare cases around 4pm CST if they decide to delay things. So basically.. "some time today".

Considering folks are going to get antsy if they delay things I'm expecting an announcement sometime in the next 7 minutes to 4 hours and 7 minutes If they have anything to announce at all. (and that's the real question at this point.)

I'll be quite surprised if something isn't announced today given the weird hold-up on listing pre-orders on their site, but anything is possible.

Are people still clinging to the hope that it's a dual UK-US announcement for Dawn of the Dead? Considering it's 3:00 PM in the UK and there's still no announcement, some folks will have to deal with the anxiety of waiting for that news to trickle over and across the pond.

The DOTD announcement was that preorders open on the 27th, and a pic of tentative box art. That’s it.

Notice how they have special features finalized but aren't revealing them until the day pre-orders go live though? I'm wondering if that's not because of shared special features between their release and a Scream Factory release.

I also find it interesting that they announce Blu-Ray OR UHD releases instead of a combo pack scenario that I thought they had previously talked about. That, to me, certainly seems to hint toward a similar release structure here in the states. I'm willing to bet that Scream Factory does what they did with their Big trouble in Little China release and releases multiple editions of the film.

EDIT: This does not appear to be coming from scream Factory as Severin just announced that they produced a number of extras for it.

If this doesn't push people into finally investing in 4K hardware, nothing will. I'm skeptical of a US counterpart so it'll either be Blu-ray (region locked, of course) or region-free UHD so this should push the UHD format into the forefront if there's no US edition. Good for UHD!

Lady in White is excellent, a great Halloween film. Body Bags is a cool anthology, but yes, I'm with you. Gotta preorder The Wizard for the slip! Good pickups...

Idc who releases Dawn in the US. They will NOT beat Second Sight's release. That is a beautiful box. And it looks huge. Wonder what's all included in it. Cant wait

The most I could see SF doing would be 2 different slip covers, 2 posters and a figure.

Severin just announced that they produced a number of extras for the Dawn of the Dead set, so that would rule out Scream Factory one would think as a potential partner.

My guess is 3 individual cases with artwork from around the world and then a book/poster.
