Firstly I'd say that Scream have released most of the 70s-90s heavy hitters. In terms of what's left, these stand out:

[Show spoiler]The Dead Zone (almost certain after that prior hint)
The Keep (almost certainly not happening)
Fire in the Sky
Vampire in Brooklyn
The Ghost and the Darkness (Paramount may have their own plans)
Breakdown (again, Paramount may have their own plans)
The Haunting (1999)

As for the rest, there isn't much 70s and 80s stuff left, but there remain quite a few candidates, particularly from the 50s-60s and 90s-00s:

When Worlds Collide (HD master available)
War of the Worlds (4K restoration available; Paramount may have their own plans)
The Naked Jungle (HD master available)
Conquest of Space (HD master available)
I Married a Monster from Outer Space (HD master available)

Blood and Roses (probably still legal issues holding up a release)
Lady in a Cage (HD master available)
The Vulture (no apparent HD master)
The Penthouse (no apparent HD master)
No Way to Treat a Lady (HD master available)
Targets (HD master available)

Unman, Wittering and Zigo (I'd love to see this one, but there's no existing HD master it seems, which might not help its cause)
The Possession of Joel Delaney (this would have been available to Olive and Kino, and I can't imagine either of them willingly passing on it; supposedly there are no usable HD elements, which would explain it)
The Horror At 37,000 Feet (TV) (seemingly no HD master)
Lipstick (HD master available)
King Kong (remains to be seen if Paramount would sub-licence this)
The Shadow of Chikara (not convinced this is even still with Paramount)
Bloodline (HD master available)

Dragonslayer (HD master available, though Paramount may release it themselves)
Mommie Dearest (HD master available)
Fighting Back (music rights issues have long held up a DVD/Blu-ray release)
Explorers (Paramount will probably release this themselves)
Young Sherlock Holmes (again, Paramount will probable release this themselves)

The Temp
The Langoliers (TV)
Rumpelstiltskin
Night of the Demons 3
Switchback

Bless the Child
The Gift
What Lies Beneath
Domestic Disturbance
Red Eye
The Ring Two
The Loved Ones

As for realistic double-dips:

The Warriors (I suspect Paramount will re-issue this themselves in due course)
Congo
Event Horizon (given the existing Blu is OOP, I think this one is coming from Scream)
The Relic
The Ring
Though unlikely, I'd really like to see Scream Factory get a hold of Paranormal Activity and Paranormal Activity 3. The first film so that the original festival cut would finally have an official release and so that a solid documentary could be put together as this is/was a cultural phenomenon a decade ago and well deserving of a definitive release with both cuts of the film and a series retrospective documentary. The 3rd film I want as it has an entirely different cut of the film which differ's dramatically from what was released and I'd love to see it. I already own all the films but I'd even jump at the chance for a boxset if given the option. I know most would disagree with this sentiment however and given that a new film is in the works this seems unlikely. (I will hold onto hope however that the first film could be a possibility by itself with that alternate cut).

I'm really really happy with this slate of releases. This is the kind of across the board appeal that I and a few others were clamoring for over all those long months of Hammer titles. This offering has a little bit of something for everyone. I'll be grabbing The Tenant and Graveyard Shift for sure, likely on day one.

Id also be interested in seeing the different cuts of 1 & 3.

I never knew of the alternate cut of 3 (which is the best of the sequels). I need to do some deep internet diving now to find out more.

If they're going to focus their energy on a box set, I'd rather they did a Final Destination collection (other than an Elm Street set, would looks unlikely). My current FD collection consists of a patchwork of different releases, some from Canada, with varying amounts of extras. This is the rare series where I love every film in it. I own a Paranormal Activity collection which I grabbed for $17 a few months ago and it is more than decent, with extended versions of most of the films. I wasn't too impressed with the alternate endings - they felt like scenes added by Producers after the fact to appease test audiences. #1 and #3 were the best - the rest were basically alternate editions of the original, with one prequel.

The Brain was a surprisingly good horror feature. A bit like Videodrome, that other Canadian David Cronenberg's take on television consumerism (and media brainwashing), but with a more tongue-in-cheek element - David Gale (Re-animator's Dr. Hill) makes another appearance as a deranged doctor - and lots of rubber and Karo syrup practical FX fun.

Shout's blu-ray has excellent video quality with a healthy fresh appearance for the film. The lossless 2.0 audio is less perfect, with a couple of pops and a persistent hiss that makes some of the whispered dialog harder to follow. I saw all the video extras, including interviews with some cast members and the 1st Asst Art director. There's also a rather nice featurette with a passionate fan talking about his love for the movie, and his attempts to both contact with people connected with the film and collect various memorabilia. There are 3 commentary tracks, which I shall eventually get to.

Recommended.

Does anyone know if Dead Ringers is shipping with the corrected audio now, or if you still have to go through the additional steps to get the replacement disc?

While I'm at it, how come we've never seen a proper Elm Street collection? That's New Line, though right?

I'd be down for all of these. I hope that's the case that some Paramount/Dreamworks films get a release.
Especially if they could release the Warriors sans animated transitions.

And if they do The Ring, I hope that means there's a case for the rest of Verbinski's other movies to get the Shout treatment.

Ahh, Breakdown! Great shout. For some reason this feels like a forgotten film but it’s such a tense thriller.

If the series had ended at part 6 then maybe the rights holders might be willing to license it out to make extra money but with a 7th movie on the way it is highly unlikely not to mention a Blu-ray collection of all 6 films only came out recently so Shout wouldn't want to bother.

The very first trailer for the film was loaded with alternate footage not found in the final release, some of which contradicts the events we saw in the theatrical release. Years ago after seeing this I did some digging and had found reports that two separate versions of the film were assembled/edited and that the studio then chose which they considered to be the better cut. I have no doubt that there will be plenty of reused footage between cuts but from the snippets in the trailer I got the feeling that the other version would have more closely followed the template found in part 1 rather than going the direction of
[Show spoiler]witches
in the theatrical release. As someone that felt a bit let down by the direction part 3 went I've always wanted to see what this other edit may have offered.

No doubt, and no argument there. Honestly just getting a collectors edition of part 1 with the festival cut would be fantastic regardless of who put it out. I much prefer that original cut of the film despite the ending making any further sequels next to impossible but I'd certainly be interested in a set if one materialized. It's no where near a top want though, just something I'd like to see one day.

The Shadow of Chikara may have been distributed to TV by Viacom, but Paramount never had theatrical rights as those were handled by an entity called Howco Productions. There's rumors Chikara may be in public domain, but the film elements are with it's producers or possibly Paramount.

You would think that Shout's strong relationship with Paramount may give them a foot in the door, should Paramount decide to sub-licence these Miramax properties. Of course, there's a number they might wish to put out themselves, like the Scream franchise.

Maybe now we can get nice Collector's Editions of franchise titles like Children of the Corn, Hellraiser and The Prophecy.

I already have some of these but Fortress, The Hole, The Faculty, Existenz, Hellraiser Deader, etc. A bunch of those old miramax blus have gone OOP and were never offered as single releases. Lots of potential here.

I have the old Prophecy collection from Miramax on blu and it has to be one of the worst transfers I've ever seen. Might be the worst in my collection. It was really bad.

I'm very forgiving when it comes to Blu-ray transfers, but I agree with you 100%. The Prophecy looks awful. Sadly, it's the best it has ever looked!

Would love to see SF do a "Scream" box set similar to the Halloween set, and the rumored F13th set.
