It'd be nice if they threw Phantom of the Rue Morgue in 3-D in there, too.

Great news about the sixth volume of Universal Horrors...though it doesn't seem to bode well for us getting a Blu-Ray anytime soon of Curucu, Beast of the Amazon, since neither Scream! nor Kino would seem to have picked it up yet. I think it's the only '50s Universal genre title that hasn't had ANY home media release (unless there was a laserdisc).

That remake is a horrible joke.

I think there might be a seventh volume, and Curucu could possibly be on it. I also believe somebody is certain to release The Incredible Shrinking Man as a stand-alone at some point.

In another matter, how often does Scream have 15-percent off sales?

I agree that an F13 set would likely be a September / October release, but I doubt they'd hold it back for a Comic-Con reveal.

2013: 0 September / October 2013 titles
2014: 0 September / October 2014 titles
2015: 0 September / October 2015 titles
2016: 0 September / October 2016 titles
2017: 0 September / October 2017 titles
2018: 0 September / October 2018 titles
2019: 0 September / October 2019 titles

Shoot, I don't know if it's out on blu-ray, but I'd buy the 1920 John Barrymore silent version.

Given the issues Scream had (or are having) with Isle of the Dead and presumably the remaining Lewton titles, I'd be pleasantly surprised if this happened. Evidently Warner's licencing costs are far higher, and we know they are more exacting when it comes to the quality of the scans/restorations, which again only adds to the costs involved. Also, if we're being honest, most of the pre-50s stuff on that list isn't going to sell as well as the Lewton titles (with the exception of Freaks and Dr Jekyll), so if they weren't satisfied with those sales...

I'd say there's a better chance of the last 3 titles on the list, since the costs involved would likely be much lower. In any case, there's always Warner Archive and even Criterion (for Freaks and Dr Jekyll).

I didn't get into Hammer films until around the time that Scream started releasing them, so I've enjoyed these releases.

They usually release their box sets in September and October, but there is a Friday the 13th in November this year, which would have made perfect timing for a Comic-Con announcement.

Default Dr J and Mr H

Since Warner released both versions on a double sided dvd, maybe they can be a double bill on a blu. Considering they are doing Mystery of the Wax Museum this month, not impossible.

Yeah but the leaks said that the set was coming out this summer that's why we were all expecting an announcement soon.

Since the August announcements are over, it looks like September/October. Yeah I know November has a Friday the 13th, but new releases come out on Tuesdays, not Fridays, and it wouldn't make much sense releasing it on 11/10, so I dont see that happening.

Unless they plan on making the announcement on 11/13. In which case that would suck cause that would mean we wont get the set until next year in February.

Sorry, what I meant by my comment was that Comic-Con announcements usually don't come out before November, not that it would be released on a Friday because of Friday the 13th.

I have a feeling that this was originally planned for the summer, but then with COVID-19 plans changed. Still a Fall release would work well, or they could be waiting for November 13th...

I'd like to see another Universal set with 2 Rondo Hatton films, The Brute Man and The Spider-Woman Strikes Back.
