Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

Strange, I got 1 out of the 10 titles I ordered at the same time on May 1st. I look on the page & it says pending for the other 9. Hopefully I get all of them, eventually.

Does anyone know why SF doesn't have the oop titles, The Final Terror and the doublefeature Love at first bite/Once bitten grouped with the other oop titles?

Both are in red on the list on the first page of this thread.

Same thing with me. I've received one movie from my second sale order made on 4/30. The other four are still processing.

One thing that irks the crap out of me, Scream Factory, is leaving titles on the main page scrolls even after they have sold out or gone completely OOP! Move them, SF. We don't need to see these titles on the page for blurays we are actively trying to purchase. Put them somewhere in a Gone and You'll Have to Get Them From 3rd Parties... Okay, sorry for the unnecessary soapbox.

At least SF are letting us know which titles are going away, so I should relax. I've gotten at least a dozen titles that I was sitting on thanks to them informing us. One I missed is From a Whisper to a Scream, which I just learned about. Maybe it will return, but I'm getting into anthologies lately...

They might have only recently sold out, and they haven't moved them over yet. I actually ordered The Final Terror during the recent sale. I hope they didn't oversell and still have a copy to send me.

The Final Terror is OOP? I hope this means there's a new edition coming from someone else. SF did a commendable job with what they had but there's always the chance someone found better source materials. A 4K restoration would be spectacular.

I don't know if this is a known issue so I apologize if it's been discussed but my blu-ray copy of the combo The Beast of Hollow Mountain/The Neanderthal Man doesn't load at all (just a blank screen) on my Sony UBP-UX80 4k player and loads every other time on my Pioneer LX500 4k player. The dvd loads without a hitch. Has Scream had issues in the past with discs failing to load for whatever reason? I checked the disc and it's clean.

My order of RoboCop 2 shipped today from Amazon(I finally picked up the Arrow LE of RC1) so it was time to add the second one to my collection although I can say with certainty that I won't get the slip, but maybe I'll luck out like I did with Black Christmas & Tales From The Hood.

You get a response? I ordered three titles from SF last Friday through Paypal. The Paypal order went through, but in my SF account it only shows one title, and it says "error." I've emailed SF but have heard nothing back.

I could sell it if a UK label announces it, so I need to make a decision as soon as possible (even though I know that a pre-order by another label will be available from this Friday, and one sale starts a week this Friday). The Final Terror has long been on my list of Shout titles I've been wanting to get for a long time (along with slashers released by other labels in the States).

That is weird, especially since they usually defer to the theatrical poster art virtually every time.

Sorry to hear that. I pre-ordered from them awhile back and mine has shipped, with an estimated arrival date of Friday.

Maybe they received more pre-orders/orders than expected?

I’m in the same boat, but I figure I wouldn’t watch it for a few weeks anyway as I’m busy with my Alfred Hitchcock and Tom Cruise-athons. It will be fun to dig into those new features

This is, for better or worse, not unusual for Shout/Scream Factory. Their discs ship from various locations around the country, and they ship as they become available, not all in one shipment, even if you ordered them all at the same time.

I placed an order for more than twenty Blu-rays on April 28th, and thus far, I've received four of them-- two in one package, and two in another. The rest are still "pending," which, in this case, likely means that they are back-ordered and will ship out to me when they are in stock again.

I really wish that SF would list back-ordered titles on their website as being back-ordered, rather than almost always showing them as "in-stock" to unsuspecting customers... and I have politely, respectfully, made that request to SF a few times... and I'm still hoping that they will eventually do it.
