Speaking of OOP Shout stuff, I really want Without Warning, but man, $70 is a lot to cough up for a movie that's not a premier title.

Without warning was among the few out-of-print titles that I regretted not having. I had to sell off my collection a few years back after I lost my job, and I procrastinated building it back up once I got everything under control last year. But this as well as new year's evil and I, Madman were among my most wanted. Luckily I talked a seller on eBay down to $50 priority shipping included, which isn't terrible for a brand-new copy but way more than I wanted to spend. Then I was lucky enough to snag a used copy of I, madman on Amazon for $30 shortly after it popped up on there. Now all I need to do is grab new year's evil, which I should get on before and it goes up. Especially while there's multiple copies in the $30 range out in The Ether LOL. But I know I prefer to have the case and artwork for a movie in my collection, but I might be willing to part with my DVD disc from my combo pack if you really wanted it bad enough. That is if it wouldn't bother you if you did not have the complete package. Just let me know man!

Without Warning was a grail for me. It was actually a blind buy when I purchased a copy but I'd heard so many mostly glowing reviews for the film over the years that I wanted to add it to my collection badly and it did not disappoint. It's the kind of movie that had I seen it during my youth, it would've made my top 10 favorites list. And I love the artwork. I've got it in a snazzy black case it it looks awesome.

Without Warning is a cool little movie but not $70. I saw it in 35mm a few years back during an all nighter an the audience were mostly quiet (AKA asleep) until the end but its fun.

If you ever can find it for cheap, its a decent watch.

Wondered about that myself. I was a bit disappointed to see that Shout/Scream used the title The Spider, was even more confused (but, glad to see it) when I put it in and saw the title Earth vs. the Spider actually in the film, as should be. So why in the world would they issue the blu-ray cover as The Spider. Must be some legal entanglement, oh well, I also reversed the cover to show Earth vs. the Spider.

I'm predicting they'll send out a third email about how they are still short-staffed during these trying times and how everyone should continue to remain patient about receiving items that were ordered and paid for nearly two months ago.

Or maybe they won't.

A preorder was cancelled, eh it happens. Not a big deal for me.
Happens quite a bit with international steelbook boutique labels that I order from
Will just move on to the next preorder.

Shit, I would have loved for my local Walmart to have Sleepaway Camp, but no, the only Shout title they had was Candyman, a movie I don't care about, nothing else. I swear I live in the wrong area for movie collecting.

Not sure where you are, but the Miami area is the same. Went to 5 stores and only found one Shout title.

I live in Louisville Kentucky, and there's actually a couple different stores that have them all in stock. Mainly the ones on New Cut Road and and Fern Creek. I was at Fern Creek earlier and they were out of the Sleepaway Camp unfortunately but they still had everything else.

I'm planning to go back out Monday and take a look around to see if they restocked any, so I will see if I can grab a Starman with a slipcover for you. As long as you don't mind reimbursing me and covering the shipping costs I'd be more than happy to grab some for you. And that goes for anyone else in the group that might need any of those titles. I don't need to make any money off of them, so as long as the cost of the movie is covered and cost of shipping is covered, I'll do my best to grab whatever is needed and get it sent out the same day :-) so just hit me up and let me know and I'll see what I can do!

Also, I placed an order directly from Shout Factory way back on April 19th for Candyman farewell to the flesh, the house where evil dwells / Ghost Warrior, Sleepaway Camp, and Candyman. They contacted me a few weeks ago to let me know that Sleepaway Camp was out of stock so I went ahead and had them cancel that one and Candyman since I managed to get both of them for $10 a piece at Walmart. But I just got the other two in the mail yesterday, so it took two months to receive them. But I've been ordering from Shout factory for years now, and I usually get my stuff within three or four days of ordering, so these delays are highly unusual in my experience. I probably get my stuff quickly in the past because they ship from Louisville Kentucky downtown and I just live about 20 minutes away from their warehouse luckily :-)

I'm in South Broward. I was going to try one more Walmart ten minutes away, but it's probably pointless.

Calling any retail store for an item in stock is so useless. Employees are too lazy to check.

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
The film's original on-screen title was Earth vs. the Spider, but when The Fly (also released in 1958) became a blockbuster, the title was shortened to just The Spider on all of the advertising material. The original screen title, however, was never changed, so the film is frequently referred to by the title Earth vs. the Spider.
