But from the reveal that SF passed on Child's Play 2&3 years ago, does make me wonder if the person in charge just isn't interested in Tim Burtons body of work....
Personal feelings aside I'm not sure how easy it would be for Scream Factory to license any of Burton's movies. They all seem to be pretty well received mostly held in reasonable regard and I'm not sure how willing any studio would be to let the licensing rights go. The one film that stands out to me honestly is Edward Scissor Hands. Pretty much everything else would come as quite the surprise if it was announced by any boutique distributor.

I honestly have no watched Sleepy Hollow in years. But I do remember liking it as a kid.

I agree that it could be more difficult for them to license Burton's films. I do think these 5 could have the best chance!
1.Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985)
2.Ed Wood (1994)
3.Sleepy Hollow (1999)
4.Big Fish (2003)
5.Dark Shadows (2012)

Love Sleepy Hollow. But I have a tendency to think Scream Factory doesn't have this. I keep thinking about Paramount Presents. Not to get to off topic here, but if this line is going to continue, Paramount, sooner or later should add a movie of this type to their collection (Ghost notwithstanding.)

Sleepy Hollow might fit the bill, not to mention it's been released before, which Paramount Presents tends to do. So perhaps they're keeping it for themselves. Just a thought.

I'm also surprised SF hasn't announced a Summer sale, yet. Doesn't usually take place in July?

The story of Sleepy Hollow is still a mess, but Lordy, the first roughly 30 minutes is just a dripping valentine to Autumnal goodness.

It's a Halloween must for the rich, enchanting atmosphere alone. Absolutely agree with everybody else that a restored, jangly-belled release from Scream would be a godsend.

I'm a huge Burton fan but Sleepy Hollow wouldn't be a my first pick for the label.
I still really like the film though.

And to whoever said that Irreversible isn't as worth it over Sleepy Hollow...get real. I would kill for more Noe titles out there. Only two released but man oh man his first two films and Love truly need appropriate releases.

They haven’t even shipped out all of their orders from the April sale. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were no more big sales until October.

Yeah I just got the last two discs from sale purchase. They were probably working tirelessly to get shipments out. No need to go through that stress again.

Orca has got to be the SF release with the lightest of extras.

Their Blu-ray of Ghost Town was 100% barebones. I really can't think of any other of their releases off the top of my head that had ZERO extras.

Yup. Huge missed opportunity to give a popular film a long-deserved CE and give the Australian release some real competition. Hell, I would've been happy with a fresh scan if that's all we were given. We'll never know if Shout's hands were tied or if they were simply not interested in creating extras.

It does happen from time to time. "The Island" and "Strays" are two other examples I can remember off the top of my head from my collection.

Edit: I found a few more (mostly from their older Double Features):
- Scanners II/Scanners III
- The Beast of Hollow Mountain / The Neanderthal Man
- Tales from the Crypt (1972)/Vault of Horror
- Ghost House/Witchery
- Princess Caraboo (not Scream, but it is a recent Shout Disc).

It is strange that no label is interested in Night Life (1989) and Grotesque (1988).

Every boutique label has their own preferences. Shout released Grotesque on DVD but they don't seem interested in upgrading. That was a different Shout - today they're more about golden age films and Gothic horror. Interestingly (or, sadly, depending on your POV), Dark Force Entertainment would probably release something like Nightlife. I wish we had a label that specialized in 80's horror and Sci-Fi done right.

@Cinema84

How does the transfer of Orca from Scream Factory compare to Umbrella's transfer?

I'm hoping next we finally get confirmation on the Friday the 13th set. The Dead Zone would also be nice.

Shout's looked a sliver better to my eyes but it's from the same master. It's not a bad scan, just dated.

How often does Target have their B2G1 sale? And is it exclusively for Shout/Scream titles or just Blu-rays in general?

A few times a year, not on any kind of schedule. It's for all blu-rays.
