Once they are finished with their Hammer cycle, I hope they go back to Warner and do a box of all the unreleased Val Lewtons they can. I suspect I Walked With a Zombie and The Seventh Victim are with Criterion, but a box of the others would be wonderful.

Also, perhaps the Amicus films could be a place they visit.

They need to pick up Tremors and do a brand new transfer. The original disc is awful. I have no interest in any of the sequels past Tremors 2.

If the Friday the 13th box set doesn't get announced tomorrow, I'll be totally convinced the box set is not coming from them and will be another Paramount/Warner team up like the last box set.

Not that they've ever released anything on Friday the 13th, but if they wanted to at least come close then November would be a possibility. It's also worth noting that they may not announce a potential set this week if they planned to do a special one off day of announcements later this month the same way that they would have done with comic-con.

Shout Factory better blow my socks off with Fall announcements as every other label has announced most of their Fall lineups and is very disappointing

November makes no sense. Yeah there's a Friday the 13th in November, but release dates are on Tuesdays, not Fridays, also releasing it on November the 10th just doesn't sound right. Releasing the box set in October makes way more sense to me than November.

Also, i highly doubt SF will be doing a virtual panel for SDCC because they have not announced anything yet. Literally everyone else who is participating has already announced that they will doing one. So i wouldn't expect to see any sort of SDCC announcement.

Yeah, I'm hoping for something good. The horror line up so far hasn't been anything too great. The bigs ones for me so far are The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue and Deep-Star Six.

Really hoping for the Dead Zone and the Friday set. We SHOULD get announcements tomorrow for October.

Personally I find releasing the set in October to be too late. September is/was the sweet spot for such a release as it's at the tail end of Summer and would have given folks 2 long months to pick it up before Halloween. That said, Candyman was a November release and given what I imagine has been ongoing delays putting together special features I still wouldn't be shocked at a November announcement... particularly if they are struggling to find other titles to announce and want to make a big splash with fewer announcements.

As for the virtual panel stuff... I never said they'd do a virtual panel. There's no reason to do one. That doesn't mean that they still couldn't just announce everything they had planned however. This week will be for the standard announcements for October. If they want to just do a surprise day/week of announcements at the end of the month using facebook like they always do it'd still make for a really fun time and there'd be no reason to announce it ahead of time. None of us here ever really care about their comic-con panels... we just want the title announcements. If we're looking for interesting info that always comes from the Shockwave podcasts (which they could very easily use to announce the comic con titles at the end of the month or next month as well).

The Shockwaves podcast no longer exists, so if they plan to do anything, it would have to be on their social media. Either way, i think there is a good chance that the box set is coming from Warner/Paramount themselves.

It wouldn't surprise me if the rumored F13 set gets pushed to 2021, thanks to the likely production delays that would have been inflicted by the pandemic.

Studio sets are boring. Generic artwork, paper-thin cardboard, eco packs, disclaimers, promos and other junk up the wazoo. No thanks.

I said it a month ago and I'll say it again. I messaged someone who contributed to the set and they told me it's coming from Shout. They also told me Jason Goes to Hell would be uncut before the director even mentioned it. They just couldn't tell me anything much beyond that, but they did confirm it's coming from Scream/Shout.

I agree, not saying that's what i want to happen, but i think there is a very good chance this happens. Especially if SF don't announce it for October.

It’s one of the most influential & well known slasher series of all time & the first one at least is considered a classic by many people.

Generic artwork > tacky ass comic book floating heads of every single character in the movie

I just watched Orca. Still a really good movie and had a pretty good PQ. I'll check out the commentary at a later time.

Isn't Shockwaves podcast on hiatus and will once again be operating independently?. I know that Rob Galluzzo is no longer working as a co-host due to what's going on over at Fangoria and allegations against him, but saying it no longer exist is a bit of an exaggeration!!
