I think someone asked Shout and they had no plans. There was a 30th Anniversary Documentary this year, so maybe Universal will have it.

I am hoping besides F13th Boxset we get 1 more new release like The Hitcher, Pin, Black Xmas 2006, Near Dark, Monster Squad, or Wrong Turn. So far the other labels like Arrow have a lame fall lineup.

November makes no sense. Yeah there's a Friday the 13th in November, but release dates are on Tuesdays, not Fridays, also releasing it on November the 10th just doesn't sound right. Releasing the box set in October makes way more sense to me than November.

Also, i highly doubt SF will be doing a virtual panel for SDCC because they have not announced anything yet. Literally everyone else who is participating has already announced that they will doing one. So i wouldn't expect to see any sort of SDCC announcement.



Because tomorrow should be the day they announce the October lineup.

I think Brides of Dracula is a shoe-in, given they have already announced and/or released four other films from that Universal/Hammer box set.

Curse of Frankenstein, not so much. That needs a major restoration, best done by a second party such as UCLA, funded independently, for a proper blu-ray release. And we don't even know if Scream Factory has this or is it still with Warner? But I don't see either label footing the cost for such a restoration by themselves.

And speaking of what SF has or doesn't have, if they don't announce The Dead Zone this time, I'm almost certain they don't have it.

Finally, let's hope we hear some good news about the Friday the 13th set this week.

i don’t think there has been any announcement. which is a bummer. on top of fangoria and birth movies death both going under.

but yeah. a lot of nobodies we had never heard of made a stink, and ultimately nobody wins less coverage for the genre.

also, i don’t know or care what may or may not have happened behind the scenes. i really don’t. i just don’t know how us having less sources for movies and news does a benefit when productions seem to get smaller and smaller and releases, be it an undiscovered or underknown gem on home video or theatrical with a small budget.... it’s harder and harder to find out about what is coming.

I'm sure we'll be getting a Hammer titles, but really hoping we hear about the Dead Zone and the Friday the 13th set. If if the boxset isn't announce this month, then maybe for November. If not November, then it probably won't come out until Summer 2021 or Fall is my guess.

With Scream you never really know, but this week always seemed most likely (if not today then very likely by Wednesday). For them to announce a new slate of monthly titles after the 10/12th (even this is very late for them) would be very unusual. I don't remember it happening.

Yeah, this is a bit odd. So it sounds like the titles will probably leak before next week?

I'm hoping it's a stacked month for October, but part of me thinks we are in for a lot of disappointment.

Before the Rob stuff and going in hiatus, they did say that they would be independent, and made it seem like new stuff was coming. Hopefully it is just a hiatus and the three of them return.
