It would be pretty thrilling if Scream did actually announce a 4k release!

I think i would be okay with that. At least we would know for sure that they're releasing it and that it will come out in October.

They licensed THE DEER HUNTER 4k from Studio Canal for Shout. Possible Scream might license any of the Carpenter 4k flics as well?

(Not saying that would be the most exciting, but...I could see Scream's first 4k being another pre-existing 4k scan from Studio Canal)

What I'm expecting...

-Friday Box set confirmed
-1 possibly 2 Hammer announcements
-Another of the late 90's/early 2000's Warner collectors editions (Sleepy Hollow? Dr. Giggles? House of Wax? Feadotcom?)
-Something from Paramount that won't be The Dead Zone
I think something similar, but I'm going to be a little more optimistic given the encouragement offered today:

- Friday the 13th Set
- Brides of Dracula CE
- The Dead Zone CE
- A WB CE of an 80s or 90s title, possibly Deadly Friend or Alone in the Dark (I'm really pushing the boat out there!)
- If there is a fifth, a non-CE WB or Paramount title. As I said before, would love this slot to be filled by a non-studio title like Alligator or Fade to Black.

Picked up:
Glengarry Glen Ross @$7.99
The Green Inferno @$9.99
Dog Soldiers @$7.99
Brewster’s Millions @$3.99
Virus @$3.99
This has been the case from a local shop as well. I've seen a lot of titles from Shout, VS, etc and am assuming it's the same person selling them each time since there's a clear pattern.

What are the odds of some old Miramax titles getting announced. Since Paramount can distribute them, are they within their rights to license them to Scream/Shout? If it’s possible I wouldn’t be surprised to see these get announced

Hellraiser IV
Scream
The Crow

Assuming they are even possible, it is too soon for any Miramax titles.

A lot of good picks by everyone and probably would buy a couple mentioned but Im really hoping for a shocker or two. Most of these are predictable but if they came out with lets say the Kolchak tv series or any kind of similar series for that matter I would be estatic. I need something outside the box.

My prediction:

Friday the 13th box set
Deadly Friend
The Dead Zone
House of wax (remake)
Probably some Hammer title (not really a fan)

Possibly the Paramount release could be the last of Raimi's unreleased titles. I would love for both A Simple Plan and The Gift to get released.

An 8 - 12 film boxset plus 4 additional titles (CEs or otherwise) would be really ambitious, in a good year. Given the ongoing COVID situation, I would dial expectations back, a bit.

Hoping the speculation is true about Targets from 1968.

Here is Quentin Tarantino's terrific review of it on his theatre's website:
