so i watched terrorvison after it simmered in my collection for a month. i thought the transfer looked great and the movie was pretty entertaining. im usre ill give the video dead another chance but i dont have high hopes for it. i own a bootleg dvd and thought it was complete crap but who knows maybe watching it on blu would help.

how about scream trys to get tales from the hood? i know HBO owned the rights at one point but who knows?

You know it is funny you should say that about The Video Dead...I watched it on full-frame VHS some time ago and thought is was so-so but after watching it on this blu-ray I can say I enjoyed it quite a bit...I don't know if it was just the second viewing or the much much better quality or both but I can now say I'm a fan...it has its limitations of course but they did a good job with what they had and made a fun little film.

The Scream Factory collection is really coming along great. I'm really looking forward to cutting into "From Beyond" this week since its been a few years since I've watched it. The summer batch of titles can't come soon enough since so many of those have been on my anticipated list for quite a while.

One downside to the Friday announcements last year was that there was simply no way the pace of the releases could keep up with the pace of the announcements.

My wallet is certainly appreciative though.

Yeah, From Beyond was a really interesting movie. I was pleasantly surprised by it, especially because I hated it when I watched it a few years back.

here's my review:

Anyone see the Evil Dead remake or planning on going to see it this week? Reviews are split down the middle so far ranging from the scariest thing ever to complete rubbish! Which one will it really be is the question.

I plan on watching it come Friday. I don't automatically dismiss remakes (I do like the Friday The 13th remake, for example). The good reviews I've seen do help out, as does the fact that this remake was spearheaded by the creators of the original.

Then again, John Carpenter and Debra Hill were producers of the remake of The Fog, and that was one of the worst remakes I've ever seen...

Yeah I do not dismiss re-makes either and I too enjoy the Friday the 13th reboot. I am definitely going to check it out and I am gonna keep an open mind and we will see.

They are bad, Wolfen was a good one from the 80's that could use a blu but I think Warner has the rights!

I like that movie, it really does deserve a special edition! That being said, Warner does have the rights to that one so....

I finally watched "The Nesting" this weekend and was pleasantly Surprised, it was a fun little Ghost Story that had a few gore scenes mixed in. Over all I give it a thumbs up.

Anyone get their order from the March Madness sale in yet?

I only got two of the four titles I ordered. Halloween III and The Nest came in, but Halloween II w/nurse hat and The Funhouse have yet to arrive.

Do they usually ship things separate? There was no indication that this was a partial order. Should I be concerned? This is the first time I've ordered from them directly.
