Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

The only thing I'd miss out on is the new fresher transfer. I wish they would offer a trade-in program for the Blu-ray disc only with a small fee. I'd probably rebuy Halloween II and III and maybe Escape from New York on 4K, but I have no interest in double dipping on whatever title pops up on the format.

NECA is already releasing a Rowdy Piper figure. It comes out in October, I think.

While I could potentially see others that weren't leaked...based on the events of the year, and the big F13 set...yeah. Doubt we get much else in December.

Placed my pre-order. Now that i'm really starting to collect vinyl's this will go great next to the others i already have and will eventually get. Also loving that figure. I still need to get the other one's that Neca released for They Live.

You do realize that some of these limited edition necas go for some nice change. The tom atkins from night of the creeps goes for about 150 to 200 and the angela from night of the demons goes for 250 to 300. So id say thats some pretty good knickknacks.

Just an FYI for any Vinyl collectors out there, Sacred Bones also has a pre-order up for the same package, 4K, figure, and Vinyl, but they have a different colored variant for the vinyl. I don't think theirs comes with the poster though.

While the old artwork was more busy it was in line with what Shout! does. This artwork is not as busy. I'll have to get used to it but I am getting this.

I doubt it. Shout doesn’t have the cultural cachet of a Criterion. Ain’t gonna be no article in the New York Times about them unless this doll somehow offends someone

I did as well. But I think I'll just sell them and get the scream ones for the original poster art.

I also imported the StudioCanal release but haven't actually watched my copy yet. I remember there were some comments on the corresponding thread that seemed to suggest the PQ was less than ideal. I assume it's still an overall improvement over the existing Shout Blu-ray.

I feel like if they were going to go down the path of knick knacks, a real opportunity was missed by not including some authentic They Live Sunglasses so we can see the current lizard people... *ahem* I mean alien humanoids... walking amongst us.
