After eating all that candy, she must have been mighty thirsty!

On the Heathers commentary they discuss how awkward and somewhat depressing it can be auditioning actresses cast specifically for their obesity.

Schizoid (one of the titles whose format hadn't been confirmed) will be getting a BD release:

Quote:
Scream Factory, the horror-thriller offshoot of independent film distributor Shout Factory, has confirmed that it is preparing a Blu-ray release of David Paulsen's Schizoid (1980), starring Klaus Kinski, Donna Wilkes, Marianna Hill, Christopher Lloyd, and Flo Lawrence. The release is expected to be available for purchase in the Summer.

Julie is an advice columnist for the city newspaper who begins to receive anonymous notes threatening murder and worse. At about the same time, female members of the group therapy session she attends are being stabbed, one by one, by an unknown assailant. Is there a connection? If so, why do the notes talk about murder with a gun, while the murder victims are being stabbed? At first, the police, her ex-husband, her therapist and her friends all assure her that the notes are probably unrelated, and hoax; but with time, it becomes apparent that someone close to her is responsible.

Cliff seemed pretty emphatic about Hospital Massacre not selling well enough for a new HD master, as far as I know it's been the only one from the 'mystery' list that he specifically addressed.

Yeah i remember him saying that.would have thought HM would sell as well as Schizoid if not better tbh but Cliff knows more than me about potential unit sales.

I have no idea how these things work, but could they maybe have come across a pre-existing HD master of Schizoid that they didn't previously know about?

Kind of an odd choice for a solo BD release, since sales will most likely be abysmal. Cliff thinks this would sell better than Prom Night 2?

Shout/Scream Factory needs to wake up to reality and embrace the greatness that is Prom Night II!!!

I just checked Schizoid's Imdb board and it's only had 7 posts in the last 6 years ! That really doesn't bode well for good sales figures.

(a bit late in posting)

According to their website, unless they don't update it often, Paramount still owns "April Fool's Day". Lionsgate owned it for a while, their rights expired and now it's back to Paramount. I guess it's not one of the titles that was sold to Warner...

Now, I bought the 1080p HD version from 'iTunes' and I must say that based on my own comparisons, though it's far from a full remaster, there are moments when you can see an improvement...

The question remains: Why are they releasing it (yet again) on DVD when so many want a Blu-ray release? We don't just want a streaming version. We want a true BD release; concrete, can hold it in your hands and such

Sorry; just had to vent since I noticed some discussion about this film
