So with SF re-releasing titles on UHD, how likely will the following receive a 4K UHD upgrade from them?

Halloween 2 and 3
Psycho 2-4
Poltergeist 2 and 3
Exorcism 2 and 3
Child's Play

I assume the last 3 of 5 in the list are less likely since SF no longer has rights to them from MGM.

Given the length of time it took for SF to put out Psycho 4, I really can't see it happening. Psycho 3 seems a stretch too. Psycho 2, maybe.

Of that list I'd say Halloween 2 and 3 are the most logical shouts. I could be wrong, but I don't see them going crazy with 4K releases. Evidently they have no intention right now of giving Pumpkinhead and Motel Hell the UHD treatment, which probably says a lot. Depending on the rights situation, there are probably some MGM titles that could get 4K releases (The Fog, The Burning, The Howling). As for Universal, I'm not sure how many more titles I see Scream doing. Prince of Darkness sure, because it's Carpenter and there's already an overseas release. Halloween 2 and 3, absolutely. Beyond those two though seems an absolute certainty. Scream would presumably base any decision on their sales figures, so it's difficult to hazard a guess.

Hopefully the recent Universal Horror sets will be discounted if they do a sale next month.

I'd be shocked if SF released 4K's for Halloween II and Halloween III. Since Universal doesn't license out active franchises. I would think Universal would rather release the 4K versions themselves.

[Show spoiler]Ginger kills a whole lot of dogs in the movie, mostly offscreen, but still. She also kicks a dog. Plus, there's a poor dog shown after being killed by a werewolf in the opening scene.

...and that's a very good point. It's also worth noting that They Live, Army of Darkness and The Deer Hunter are Universal titles in North America, but not worldwide. As a result, I suspect the UHD rates on those titles may have been a bit more favorable to Shout! Factory, compared to the titles Arrow is releasing.

So, the Australian label Imprint is going to release Fire in the Sky. Was pretty sure that Scream would be the first label to put this out. Either way, hopefully a US release is near.

This was probably going to be part of Shout's Comic Con announcements so I'd hold off on importing this.

Probably. I still wish Shout have done a virtual panel or simply announced some titles on Facebook or something, so we have something to look forward to. Either way, I'm going to hold off in importing in the hopes that Scream has this.

Tremors was going to be licensed from someone, I'm just glad that Arrow won out since I feel their restoration will be the best. I'm in this for the PQ - that's my #1 reason.
I'm with you. There is nothing more irritating than having to pass on something you want to own due to it being released by some garbage studio like Echo Bridge or Mill Creek, for instance.

I'm very happy with Arrow as well and that's primarily due to the fact that they're so damn consistent in terms of the overall quality of the package whether it's a plain release, a L.E. set or a box set. It also helps that, most of the time, their custom artwork is incredible. Paying less than $10 for their single-disc releases during sales almost feels like stealing.

Still, I don't mind Shout! at all. Their technical presentation is generally pretty good and while I hate the basic blue cases they use the artwork and slips they offer are often quite nice. The only thing I don't like is their pricing. I feel like $20 would be a better price point for their regular single film Collector's Edition releases. The price is often what stops me from pre-ordering and blind-buying their stuff because it's just too high in my opinion.

I got my Scream titles from the from their last Contest. Chose by calculating the most I could get under the money they gave for movies.

Scream Idle Hands, Dark Angel and Shocker. A few Shout titles Bill & Ted Collection, The Shadow and Mystery Science Theater 3000 the movie. MST3K still has a slip that I thought would be gone since it came out in 2013.

Just in case you're not joking (since this was a hot topic in the F13 thread), Scream sent a mass email to those who ordered the set directly from them. You are all set so no worries, read below:

FROM SHOUT/SCREAM
We are writing to you about your order for Friday the 13th Collection (Deluxe Edition). Since this is a large, time sensitive shipment, we need to be sure that orders all arrive on or about street date and there are some things you should know about this process:

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT MY ORDER
Your order will arrive on or about Tuesday, October 13

YOUR ORDER STATUS MAY CHANGE
In order to allow us to process these shipments we need to send orders in batches to the warehouse. Your order status may now be listed as "ON HOLD." In order manage the process, many orders are temporarily on hold. Your order is secure.

SHIPPING CONFIRMATION EMAIL
You are going to get a shipping confirmation email soon. We are shipping all orders from Kentucky, if you live far from Kentucky you will not see any movement on the shipment for days after you get your shipping confirmation / tracking. We are pre-loading trucks and will release the trucks based on travel times to your shipping address.

SHIPPING METHOD IS UPS OR USPS
If you live in the US and are NOT SHIPPING TO A PO BOX, your order will ship via UPS (not US Mail). Once your order is picked up and scanned by UPS you will be able to track your order. If you live in Canada or you are shipping to a PO Box, your order will ship via USPS and once the post office scans your package you will track with the USPS.
