Yeah, but these type of sets make the most amount of money around Halloween time. If they are working on a set which I think might be likely at this point, it will come out around this time if it's next year or the following year.

Help me understand why Scream Factory is targeting November with a release in October. Choosing the 13th of October as a wink to the franchise makes sense. Winking at November the 13th doesn't make sense to me if they're releasing it a month prior.
They chose October because it's a big seller for horror. |

Going by their past deluxe box set releases;
Halloween Collection - September 23 2014 Amityville Horror Trilogy - October 1 2013 It's Alive Trilogy - May 15 2018 [REC] Collection - September 25 2018 Critters Collection - November 27 2018 The Omen Deluxe Collection - October 22 2019 The Fly Collection - December 10 2019 I honestly can't say there's a pattern. Releasing a Elm Street set near next Halloween would just be logical business practice but I don't think it's fair to say it couldn't come out any time of the year. If there's any pattern then it would be a box set released before Halloween and another released after Halloween but before the end of the year (REC/Critters, Omen/Fly). But we're not getting any more boxed sets this year. |

It's Alive had a lower RRP than most of the rest, so I can understand that one getting a release outside of this window. |

It's the same reason why the new consoles are getting released in November. Sony and microsoft know these will be on everybody's Christmas lists, so them being released in November gives them plenty of time to buy them. |

Going to add to my post but in this one instead. I'd rather Shout work on ANoES set properly and not rush it. Would this probable set have its own bonus disc? Hoping it won't be a DVD but a BD, of course. Most likely 10-Discs, if it includes Freddy versus Jason, the Remake, and a bonus disc. All the Robert Englund entries remastered and the newer re-encoded.

An ANOES is soarly needed. If shout put as 1/2 the effort in a new night mare boxset as they did on the F13 boxset. A nightmare set would probably easily outsell the F13 and Halloween set. This is a no brained for shout unless there are legal issues that can be a problem.

This seems entirely different compared to both the Halloween and F13 sets. Similar too though. Get the feeling if I buy the two earlier DVD and BD sets, this'll have an official announcement next year. Last edited by AdmiralNoodles; 10-08-2020 at 03:29 AM. |

That said, Freddy is just as iconic as Jason or Michael, and a Scream Factory release of the franchise would do well; I'd gladly get a copy to keep right with my Halloween and Friday the 13th sets. Truthfully, I see this being more likely. But who knows at this point? |

It'd be nice if Scream announced whatever they have planned for January over the next couple of days, because if they wait until next week you have to think the line-up is going to leak via Amazon or (more likely on recent form) Target.
Then again, this has happened the last 3 months now, so is it something they really care about? |

The Friday the 13th fever is going to run out eventually so, yes, they need to start announcing again. |

I wonder if there's a chance Scream could release Spider? They've already done two of Cronenberg's films (with a rumoured third with Dead Zone), so why not another?
Has Scream dealt with Sony before? They take their sweet time releasing certain films. |

The Fly. Of course. Totally forgot about the collection. And since Scream has dealt with Sony before then I hope they aim for Spider.
