The replacement request form is super wonky. It asks you which titles needs replacing and states that your proof-of-purchase must show each title being requested. Are we just supposed to say “Friday the 13th Collection” or do we list each title (Friday the 13th: Part 3D, Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X)? If it’s each title, my receipt certainly doesn’t list each movie included in the set.

This is probably a common sense thing and they’ll know what’s being requested and which discs to ship, but yeah. The wording and stuff could be refined.

This is why I don't like replacement programs. If you're technically savvy it's a piece of cake but if you're not you're left wondering if what you did even worked. I don't even know if I want these replacement discs. I don't have 3D capability and I won't lose any sleep over a missing scene or sound effect.

How to request replacement discs:

If you would like to sign up to receive the three corrected discs at no cost to you, please go http://www.discshipment.com and follow the instructions on the form. Replacement disc fulfillment will be handled by a third party. If you have any questions about the status of your replacement disc shipment once you have completed the form, please email: info@discshipment.com. Shout! Factory customer service will not have any info on the status of your replacement disc order.

When filling out your form, please enter “Friday the 13th” in the “What Title Do You Need Replaced” section.
When filling out your form, you will need to upload a copy of your proof of purchase (photo or scan of receipt or digital receipt from online retailer).
Discs are expected to be shipped out in November 2020.

Corrected discs will be marked with “R1” on them. They will be shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer and each disc will be placed in individual sleeves to protect them further in transit.

Discs will be sent out globally to those wishing to redeem.

Affected Discs:

PART 3 (When viewing in 3D) – First instance of 3D opening credits does not come out of the screen correctly.
PART 9: JASON GOES TO HELL (Unrated Cut) – Missing “snapped wrist” gore in an uncut scene.
PART 10: JASON X: Missing audio during a scene in the film in which Jason kills camp counselors in a sleeping bag.

Also, the replacement program website is having all sorts of issues at the moment so don't be surprised if you try to upload a photo and it won't go through right now. Check the Friday the 13th thread for more details.

Obviously they noted the issues at the top of the page, I found that drag and drop seems to be working, but an upload via search doesn't.

This morning there was no notification. Then there was a standard print type notification. Then there was a bolded slightly larger print type notification. Now there is a bolded slightly larger font deep red notification. I only just a few moments ago got my submission to go through. I mentioned the problems here though so that folks that haven't yet tried to upload are aware that this has been an ongoing issue. I did my upload from my phone using the search method as I am at work. It took all morning but it went through so folks may need to try over the course of the day.

I'm curious if Shout will announce another round of limited Corman films this month. I can't ever recall a month with only a single title announcement ever since Scream Factory started. As a result of the lack of announcements I went ahead and pre-ordered Event Horizon the other night.

The second batch of Corman titles were announced and then released in fairly rapid succession after the first batch, which came out of nowhere. I wonder if those have sold poorly and that's why they haven't followed up with more. I fear the relatively high prices have scared some people off. I was hoping they would get to Battletruck, Grotesque and Twice Dead before giving up.

The double feature has sold out, Streetwalkin' is apparently down to under 50 copies, and last we heard the other two were around the 400 copies remaining mark, and that was a few weeks ago. So I wouldn't say they're selling poorly.

Thanks TripleHBK, just tried it from my laptop by dragging and dropping the file and it worked fine, so that may be the best way to do it for now.

IIRC, shortly after the launch of Scream Factory, Cliff MacMillan (cmac) had mentioned that one of the big challenges with the Corman titles was finding usable elements to work with. Obviously, they've been able to turn up better elements for certain titles that were previously DVD-only, but I suspect this may still be an issue for others. If I'm not mistaken, Grotesque, for example, was sourced from a tape master for the Vampires, Mummies & Monsters DVD 4-pack.

I am surprised that they haven't released a Lady Frankenstein Blu-Ray, since that has an existing 2K restoration from the OCN, but perhaps Corman's rights only extend to the New World cut, or they haven't been able to secure a license to use the restoration.

It's not asking about individual discs, it's asking how many sets you bought! So if you bought more then 1 set of Friday the 13th, then you add the 2 or more sets and add all the receipts for each set as proof of purchase....

I think I'm dumb, but I filled it out three times, for all three discs. I just copied a picture of my Shout! order form as my picture for proof of purchase, and did each disc seperately.
