This is not the actual artwork. This is a fan made place holder. They have confirmed that they will have newly commissioned artwork.

But I imagine the reverse will look almost identical to this image.

The commissioned artwork for The Fog is by Slasher Design (Lifeforce).

@NoirFan: Im going to go for it also debating it but 4 movies that can potentially be really entertaining for 9.99 is a bargain. Im debating that Action Set...
All of these titles are unknown to me but Im into some sci fi be it good or schlocky

Yeah, plus the price will go down before the street date. The action set is $7.99 at Amazon. I imagine this set will be the same closer to release.

Wow, Arena is awesome! I can't believe it's finally coming to DVD. Very fun flick with great creature designs and Claudia Christian.

Well, we should be seeing The Fog artwork soon, if they already have a release date set.

I will be fine with nearly anything, but I think it will be controversial in that some fans are not going to like the artwork they use... Just because this is such a fan-favorite that the ones who are anti-new art on these titles anyway are certain to hate it.

Don't we usually see the artwork before the pre-order? Could it have something to do with the recent controversy surrounding this guy (the plagiarism claims)?

Hmm, only one widescreen and no extras? I'll probably pass then. I really need additional incentives to buy a DVD at this point.

In regards to Shout Factory titles in general, with the MGM vaults seemingly open, I'm pulling for Cops and Robbers (1973), which never got a proper widescreen DVD release.

I think that shout factory should just scrape the slasher design and go with this fan art made on here a few weeks ago. It is gorgeous.

Paul Zdanowicz is the artist, I think. I searched it by image to make sure someone on here was plagiarizing... and it is legitimate. And stunning. We should have a vote on facebook

In Slasher's case, don't call it "plagiarism", call it "charity"--
They NEED a responsible outside influence to show them what a good cover looks like.

In fact, a vote on Facebook (or on their own site) woudn't be a bad idea for most of the big titles. Would not only keep down a few of the mistakes, but keep the core-audience active and aware of the releases.
