That's kind of how I'm seeing it.

I already have two Carpenter UHDs pre-ordered for early next year, that alone feels like a strong start to 2021.

Yeah, I agree. It's not looking good.

Just got a shipping email for my 4 disc order placed on the 18th. Should be here by the 17th. I bought in the middle of a big sale and there's the Covid thing but, damn.

It's a conspiracy, I tell ya!

I'm not someone that thinks they are going away but let's be accurate here, it hasn't been a slow month or two, at our current rate it's been a slow 4 months (November - February) of announcements as November's announcements were largely for titles that had been previously announced as were December and January to some degree. We are currently all up to date through February as far as announcements go (barring a surprise Corman announcement), if March doesn't see a pretty impressive turnaround we'll be nearing the 6 month mark and at that point it'll be more than reasonable to be a bit worried about what the future holds.

That all said, Scream Factory has continued to state on Facebook that they have lots more in the works for 2021 that they cannot announce at this time and so I remain hopeful that much of that will be the usual October Announcements that we didn't get this year along with renewed licenses with Paramount, Warner, and others and not just 4k Double dips.

Scream has had 70 - 95 releases per year since 2015 and only 62 this year including the big F13 set. Hopefully they get back to around 6 titles per month again in 2021.

Haha, sure sounds like one to me.

I remember us talking about records in the Code Red thread some time ago, happy to hear you decided to buy a turntable!! Just as long as it doesn't interfere too much with the blu-ray buying and you're good to go.

Neighbours haven't made any noise complaints yet?

Nope. I've got my turntable hooked to two Klipsch powered speakers, and I play the records at a modest volume in my townhouse. Still, for such an elementary setup, the bass kick is pretty sweet.

Sounds good!! I don't necessarily listen at high volume either.. there's just nothing like kicking back to a record and taking it all in. Enjoy!!

Still waiting on a 5 movie order from exactly one month ago today, hasn’t even shipped, just showing as order received.
Really hoping it gets shipped out soon!

Considering this is one of the strangest/worst years of many peoples lifetime, I think 62 isn't too shabby...

I got a turntable a few months ago and have also been spending way too much on music. Have you checked out Dusty Groove? Lots of different kinds of music, new and used, and so much fun to browse online.

I, myself, own a classic Realistic LAB-420 turntable. Looks new and runs like new, sounds like new. Love this turntable. Ok, I'm done, I'll switch my attention back to movies now.

I shouldn't be surprised if they ship right before they answer the email. I've already had an Amazon order ship that won't arrive until right before moving day without having the chance to change the shipping address. If Shout delivers shortly after they ship I shouldn't worry.
It took a couple of tries but I finally got a response last Thursday (Nov 5) to my inquiry made on October 26:

"Hi there,

Thanks for your order so sorry for the delays,

Your order is still processing at our warehouse we are experiencing significant delays due to our recent sale. Our warehouse is currently working on order from Oct 9, and yours was placed on Oct 11. So we are getting closer! Once it ships you will receive an email with tracking."

It actually went out on Monday (November 9) so maybe yours is not far behind ...

Over a month now since I put in my sale order, still no update. I don't necessarily mind the delay itself. I know what's going on in the world. I get it. But what bugs me is, if the wait is a matter of titles being backordered, why didn't they just let me buy everything I wanted during the sale instead of listing some as sold out? May as well had just let me order Creepshow if the order was going to be on hold anyway.

As far as the slowdown in releases, I'm sure it's the pandemic effect. Gathering all the material and interviews for bonus features is probably a hurdle at the best of times, so with all the shutdowns, social distancing, travel limitations, etc, I'd imagine putting together a special edition disc is much more difficult now. Personally, after making my way through the extras on Arrow's Last Starfighter, I'd rather wait till Shout can produce bonus features at 100% again instead of getting zoom interviews and audio commentaries recorded through the subject's laptop mic. Or worse, bare bones discs.
