I envision a scenario where Arrow will once again beat Shout to a 4K edition of The Thing, after which Shout will piggyback, again, on their release for a Stateside edition. This is all, of course, barring any 4K release of the film from Universal themselves. I would triple dip for a 4K release but, frankly, I'd rather it come from Arrow than Universal.

88 Film's upcoming trilogy box set will contain the same scans as the original Blu-rays; it's highly unlikely these films will get fresh scans so cross this off the upgrade wishlist. In terms of extras, well, nobody's doing them the old-fashioned way these days. I, for one, hate Zoom/Skype-based interviews.

I’m a bit paranoid as I missed out on Dolls, Scarecrows, The Dark Half & Pumpkinhead II, so I want to be ready for all the sell outs and stuff.

I wouldn't worry too much about what's going OOP since we've seen that Kino, VS & Severin have been picking up films that have already gone OOP by SF. I'm not saying everything will get picked up by other labels, but I'd say most of what you've listed will come back into circulation with another label....

Not HBK, but I would recommend grabbing "Deadly Blessing" sooner rather than later. A year ago, I was like you, figuring it was no rush, seeing it cheap in a bunch of sales (but there was always something else I wanted more to fill the cart), but it seems to be starting to dry up. Price is slowly drifting upwards. I don't think it's officially out of print, but I think HBK's point is correct, it was over-printed initially, and now they're not anxious to do another pressing. That's just my interpretation, but when I noticed that, I made a point to pick-up a decently priced secondhand copy.

It's possible it might get a 4k, but I feel like Shout has backed off from Craven.

Jeffrey does work for SF. He's the main guy that makes the SDCC announcements every year.

Hopefully tomorrow or Friday. I would assume they have at least an IFC title or something.

The announcement was that, after a few years of wondering, we won't be getting Sorority House Massacre and Hard To Die after all. Way to go Jim Wynorski!

Wasn't there some rumors of a Dog soldiers steelbook? It's definitely in need of an upgrade, like Scream factory usually does when they rerelease one of their movies on steelbook. I never bought their regular release because of how bad the reviews were. Hopefully we get this and Army of Darkness 4k!

I'd rather get a standard 4K version. But as far as i know there isn't any rumors about one. Second Sight is releasing it in the UK but i'm not sure if it's a 4K or not.

That wasn't Jim's fault. If what was posted was true (Remember the We Do not Have Candyman comment) then Scream Factory could have come right out and said as much years ago. If the lawsuit was preventing a release, all they had to say was something to the effect of there are current ongoing lawsuits regarding the rights to several properties and so at this time we cannot comment on any potential Corman properties. Instead they said nothing for years and now all of a sudden they claim to not have the rights. Considering their current direction that particular film duo no longer really fits with their brand and so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they have licensed it out to someone and that is why they are now speaking publicly about it.

I've written them off too. I think for me personally, Scream Factory is over, but they were GREAT while it lasted. The last titles I purchased were BRIDES OF DRACULA, WAR OF THE COLOSSAL BEAST, and HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER, but I no longer see retro horror of this ilk on their schedule. Oh well.
