placed an order through Amazon for Dog Soldiers and Dreamscape the other day. Both arrived today, I was pleasantly surprised that Dreamscape had a slipcover.

I also ordered 'Dreamscape' from Amazon recently and was SHOCKED when I opened the box this morning to see the slipcover, especially for a title that's 4+ years old. Glad I grabbed this one before it went OOP

My hype for Scream Factory kind of died out after the Friday the 13th set. I hope after things get back to normal they will get back to releasing titles to get us hyped again.

It sounds like Scream will be coming out throwing strong punches in May and I'm actively curious to know what their starting line up will be. If we get Alone in the Dark right off the bat, I'll truly be excited. I also wonder how many more Paramount titles they have beyond the Dead Zone. I wonder if they will be releasing the '76 King Kong.

King Kong 76 would be really cool, it's never been released in North America. Are there rumors or just speculation?

Completely speculation. There is very little information about any of their upcoming titles.

The 3rd collection is pretty much for hardcore fans. There are 2 good movies in the set, Master of the World, basically Captain Nemo in an zeppelin, and Diary of a Madman, about a French judge tormented by an evil spirit. Cry of the Banshee and Tower of London were disappointing.

I dunno, I enjoyed Cry of the Banshee quite a lot, though I am a big Vincent Price fan. I'd recommend set 3 it to any big fan myself.

Im still hoping they might reprint vol 2 now that they did vol 1. I passed on that one figuring vol 1 was a lost cause. Id want it mostly for House on Haunted Hill.

The level of incompetence of their customer service is unbelivable.
So a couple of posts back I wrote that Part VI of Friday the 13th collection was scratched, but they won't ship to non US or Canada address.
A good samaritan saw the post and offered to receive the disc in my name and send it to me.
I covered the shipping fees, and the package arrived today.
They sent the WRONG disc.
So what am I supposed to do?
Bother the person who sent me the package again, pay the shipping fees again?

I`ve also gotten these cases with some Kino Lorber releases. Does anyone know what the name of these cases is and where I can get some?
Thanks!
Ps. This is the type of case I meant. Picture three shows it quite well. These cases also only have a different disc holder.

Perhaps someone can let me know what these type of cases are?

Two couples rent an idyllic seaside home for a weekend of celebratory partying, not realizing that underlying relationship complexities may lead to bad decisions. Charlie and Michelle, played by Dan Stevens and Alison Brie, have a happy marriage on the surface, but the dynamics of Charlie's relationship with his business partner, Mina, played by Sheila Vand, suggest something more than friendship. The fact that Mina is dating Charlie's brother, Josh, played by Jeremy Allen White, further complicates matters, especially since Josh is struggling to overcome a less-than-stellar past. When our four protagonists discover that they are being filmed by hidden cameras in their vacation spot, internal and external tensions collide with horrific violence.

The 2020 horror feature, The Rental, the directorial debut of actor Dave Franco, from a screenplay co-written by Franco and Joe Swanberg, benefits from a slow burn first hour that establishes the intricacies of its characters and sets up a myriad of plot developments for hopeful well-timed explosive revelations. An unpleasant house caretaker, portrayed effectively by Toby Huss, apparently harbors a racist hostility towards one of our occupants. Suspicions toward this individual come to a head when Josh's dog disappears during the first half.

The final 20 minutes, which unfold with an abrupt briskness compared to earlier proceedings, will elicit mixed feelings with viewers, since the real threat reduces many previous interactions to mere red herrings. I personally appreciate how events play out, especially now in our present age, when people who are normally astute with their own home security have no qualms about renting Airbnb locations from total strangers based simply on a few anonymous favorable reviews.

I like the way that The Rental is ultimately reminiscent of 1970s drive-in horror movies where a dialogue-heavy first hour could turn into blood-drenched mayhem at the drop of a hat and where audiences were reminded that the world around us can be a scary and unsafe place. The fact that a new movie in the age of smartphones can have the same effect is no small accomplishment.

This Scream Factory/IFC Blu-ray delivers the goods with a pleasing technical presentation and a fun five-minute behind-the-scenes.

Admittedly I have expressed my displeasure with the lack of new announcements on more than one occasion during the previous 2-3 months, but even with the lull 2020 turned out pretty well for Scream Factory.

Plus a ton of older catalog titles due to them actually having good sales for the first time in years it felt like. Hope they keep that up in 2021.
