Um, they've lost the rights to Ninja III and I, Madman, so I don't think that is going to be released.

So what's the recourse for such a transgression? Do we ask a mod to take the listing down, or... Do we have some fun with those entries and go and tweak the few he's created to better reflect what we think of them?
![]() Personally I think we need to change the titles and bundle id's to something a bit more racy. As Dailyan pointed out, he's created a few of these compilations. My guess is that he's burning bootleg .mkv's with the aforementioned titles on a single disc and this is how he's tracking what he owns. It might make for a bit of fun to swap out some titles on those listings. |

Saw The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas last night on the Shout blu. Scientific adventurer Peter Cushing in Tibet meets up with an American party headed by Forrest Tucker to look for the mythical Yeti. Cushing slowly realizes that Tucker is basically in for the money, looking to capture the creature and put it on show. He tries to dissuade him, but without much avail. As the party heads deeper into Yeti territory, they are either more prey to delusions in the rarefied atmosphere or the Yeti are a more advanced race than previously imagined, able to drive their would-be captors to madness and death.
NIgel Kneale's screenplay has interesting additions to the Yeti legend. Cushing brings his customary dignity and rigor to the part, and Tucker proves a good foil, giving his character more depth than the usual caricature villain. I feel the film moves a little too hurriedly for its own good - with a slower progression they could have achieved a more subtle depiction of the men's descent into fear. For a Hammer film, some of the location shoot is stunning (I understand none of the actors were actually there, and it was all second unit work). It's generally mixed well with the Bernard Robinson sets and believable as a whole. The sound design is the Achilles heel, not doing enough to bring the atmosphere of the mountains to the studio shoots. The Shout transfer is quite decent, although of course, the SD inserts are a significant step-down in quality. I feel there might have been some better encoding but that's a minor nitpick. The audio has limitations too. Some of it is inherent to the film's age and rapid style, dialog from characters with different accents flying fast, but it felt boxy and muddled sometimes. The subtitles (thick and yellow) drop the ball in some instances (either using wrong words or simply giving up) - the person who did this was a lazy ass. Extras include the trimmed fully HD version of the film, a decent look-back with Hammer aficionado Jonathan Rigby, a World of Hammer episode concentrating on Peter Cushing (it's just a collection of clips with a bare narrative by Oliver Reed), short Trailers from Hell piece with Joe Dante, film trailer and image gallery (which is a single video that plays stills from the film). I love the front cover and the inside art based on original poster work. ![]() |

You think next year we fans will get the ultimate Hellraiser set with all films? The rights revert back to Barker and SF knocked it lit of the park with Halloween and Friday the 13th and they know fans will pick this set up if done right loaded with extras especially the later sequels.
My wish list for the set 4K scans of films 1/2/3/4 R and Unrated cuts of 3 Bloodline “true” directors cut with extra footage and in order with directors vision and theatrical cut. |

I'd like to make an amendment to any Best of 2020 lists including my own, with Brides of Dracula CE. I picked it up on street date but I got super busy at work for Nov/Dec and finally watched it last night.
While we all were still high off that F13 set, this is perhaps one of their finest CEs. Stellar PQ, amazingly in-depth and robust amount of extras, this might be their finest Hammer release. The movie is in my Top 10 of Hammer horror too. |

For people talking about Creature... is this 3-pack legit? I see no one talking about it. Is this a BD-R that everyone avoids or something, or are the transfers VHS ripped garbage? |

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...=199585&page=9 Apparently its BD-R and Creature is an upscale rip of the Widescreen Directors Cut DVD director William Malone put out In 2015 before MGM stepped in and shut it down. I've always been curious about that 3 pack from SGL.... Sometime last year I asked Kino Insider about the possibility of getting Creature licensed from MGM. See page 10 of the thread I posted above. Malone has his own 35mm print of the film, but it seems rights issues are holding it up, which is a shame. Funny how that happens with low budget films. Creature is a top 10 favorite movie of mine, and my #1 grail release.. |

It’s too bad that crappy release will scare most labels away from giving all three films the releases they deserve.
