Maybe but I think a lot of these newer streaming services will evolve like Netflix toward new programming only. It seems the vast majority of people prefer new content and treat streaming services as cable channels that you can program yourself. That’s the only reason I believe physical media will survive for years to come. It might be the only way to monetize deep catalog titles.

If Scream still has a Warner deal, I'm pretty optimistic that this could get released this year from them.

No, they usually always have reverse covers, with the original posters being one option.

Are you talking about the Blu-ray covers or the posters that come with some of their titles if you order from the Shout site? Because I think the latter is what GhastlyGraham was referring to (and is what I meant when I asked about what images are used on Shout/Scream's posters). I don't think their posters are double sided?

Depends on who their point of contact is / was. If George Feltenstein was their primary point of contact, then things may be back to "square one" in terms of future licensing endeavors with WB.

He's still going to be with the company in a consultant capacity, so he should still have some influence and friends. So I guess that could still help.

Bought two of the Hammer Films' Blu-ray releases by Scream Factory from FYE...Brides of Dracula and Kiss of the Vampire. The artwork is gorgeous on both. I want all the other Scream Factory Hammer releases too.
I renewed my Backstage Pass for a year for 10% off. One was marked $32.99 but they both rang up $29.99 and $3 off each so they were $26.99. not too bad.

FYE....now that's a name I haven't heard in a long...long time.

I do need to get in on the Hammer Scream releases. Blood from the Mummy's Tomb is the only one I've grabbed thus far.

Yea I was kinda nervous for a while there during all the closures but our local FYE is holding on. They are the ONLY physical store locally that carry Scream Factory releases. It's been really busy the past week or so.

Still hoping for EYES OF A STRANGER (1981) from Scream Factory this year. I bought the DVD online last night, mostly just to do my part to make the Blu ray happen.

Ahhhhhhh, I misunderstood. I was referring to poster art on the covers. Yeah, the posters are the newly commissioned art. So far, the only newly commissioned art I’ve actually liked were Humanoids From The Deep, Motel Hell and Return of the Living Dead.

Galaxy of Terror, Event Horizon, The Thing & Forbidden World are among my least favorites, off the top of my head.

Scream Factory has released Columbia/Tristar stuff?
Cause I'd really like to see a blu ray double feature of Circuitry Man and Circuitry Man II, a couple of old direct to video 90s scifis.
Also they gave Lawnmower Man the deluxe treatment, could fans at least get a bare bones HD release of the sequel? They could definitely get the rights, right?

Just grabbed Fire In the Sky from new label Imprint out of Australia via Diabolik. I didn't feel like waiting around for Shout Factory to thaw out. Looks like a nice release too. They have other Imprint titles but I'm not sure if they're long-MIA stuff like Fire In the Sky. Anything that doesn't have a nice Collector's edition in the US is worth upgrading I guess.

Gotta say friends, I’ve gotten really lucky with some of these slipcovers for being a late in the game collector. Started really getting into Scream Factory late last year as part of a reinvigorated interest in horror movies. In October I was lucky enough to find Dawn of the Dead 2004 with slipcover at Barnes and Noble. Recently, I’ve ordered Child’s Play, Misery, and just today got Carrie from Amazon and all three had slipcovers. Considering these have all been out for 4 years I am shocked to say the least, but will be watching their announcements more closely from now on. Totally nerdy, but damn do those horror movies look nice matching next to each other.

Thanks, I've already got the Australian Special Edition, though, as well as the other titles. I'm just glad to hear Scream is coming out with one.
