They haven't shot it down. The other day, someone asked about a few titles on their Facebook page, and they shot down the others, but said The Beast Within would be a good candidate. So hopefully it does get a release.

I don't get why they shot down "dolls". It's from MGM and has a cult following, plus there's an hd transfer ready.

Good point. Everyones sticking to the list of yah or nay titles when in actuality Scream Factory could (key word, could) be creating potential new deals with MGM or UNIVERSAL (or any other studios) on a new deal for some new releases. Well to tell you the truth, I'm kind of doing some wishful thinking here and hoping for some new deals with other studios to in turn bring on more films.

Cliff has 100% said that yes they are making new deals with MGM / UNIVERSAL / FOX in one interview or another.

Then, as I found out with Timerider, if they don't get stock and ship your order within 30 days they cancel that part of your order and don't tell you right away.

They didn't get stock on Timerider til a week after street date and then my order sat there for several days as 'in stock ships within 24 hours' before I emailed them and they let me know they canceled it but I could re-order. So I just paid $2.50 more and ordered it from amazon with prime since I wanted to watch it right away and not wait the 10 more days it takes me to get stuff from Importcds (ps, it is a great disc!).
This is a seriously screwed-up way of doing things. I would be pissed as heck if they put me through this. People are OK with this??
It is silly. The same thing happened with me when I ordered VCI's Dark Star Blu-Ray. The price did go up when I learned about this, but they refunded me the added amount and gave it to me for the original price I ordered it for.

That's the only time I've had an issue with them, and when it comes to smaller label releases like Shout, Olive or Kino, they do tend to have them cheaper...

Well, we do know that they got "Terror Train". I am curious to see if they do get any more titles from them.

I would love "Phantom of the Paradise", "Shock Treatment", some Hammer Films.

It could be nice, but most of them I doubt they would license out, they just really hold on to the classics, like "Rocky Horror", etc. They have put out pretty good editions of the ones that do consider to be more important than the rest of their libraries.

That can't be... one of the discs in the same order shipped 23 days after the order was placed (also a pre-order they didn't get stock on until weeks after street date). If it was 21 days that disc should have also been auto-canceled...

I noticed today's package came from a different address, "World Media Corporation," than the first part of my order so that might explain the inconsistencies. On Monday I had received the first part of my order that did come with an e-mail shipping notice from a Shout Factory address (this consisted of Halloween III, The Nest, and Terrorvision/Video Dead). Hope your order shows up soon.

Edit: I checked my shoutfactory.com order history to see if there was any indication there of when items are mailed out but items in the World Medial Corporation package I got today still just say "sent to warehouse" on shoutfactory.com status.
Each of them still say "Sent to Warehouse" on mine as well. Neither arrived in the mail over the weekend.

I spoke briefly with Brandon Quintin Adams at the Days of the Dead con yesterday in L.A. and he said he recently did commentary for the People Under the Stairs blu ray. I asked him what company but he didnt recall. He did say its a company from overseas and that he thinks it will be region b.

Arrow most likely. Has Second Sight released any Universal titles?

The broadcast version (from Germany) looks to just be a zoomed-in version of the full-frame transfer.

It's a matter of numbers. Warner has - by far - the largest catalog of films of any of the major studios. Something like 6000 titles owned outright (from Warner, MGM pre-1986, RKO, and a few other holdings) BEFORE they licensed the ~80 Samuel Goldwyn titles and the ~600 Paramount titles.

So, it's a numbers game. When you have 10x as many "A-list" catalog films as other entities you don't get around to releasing as many "B-List" or "C-list" titles.

Fortunately, they finally licensed out one title to Criterion (Badlands), but who knows if they will do more.

Awesome. It just seems ripe for a label like SF. A solid cast of great character actors, 1950's style score, Tom Holland script, ridiculous story involving a vengeful spirit and cicadas (!), and awesome practical make-up effects. Plus, it's yet to be on Blu. Not asking necessarily for a bells-and-whistles collector's edition, but something like they did with Death Valley or The Nest would be cool.
