Hopefully Monday is the day and we get some good stuff. I'm excited, but also trying to keep my expectations realistic so I'm not too disappointed and end up venting here.

Class of 1999 II: The Substitute (1994)

That's a movie I would love to see on Blu Ray.

I got my MBV miner figure in the mail 2 days ago! I know it's not a new Scream Factory release, but it's a dream come true to have a figure made of Harry Warden, something I thought was way too niche to ever happen at this scale. It's a beautiful figure!

How come nobody ever has Sword and The Sorcerer or [B]Philadelphia Experiment[B] on their wish lists? Are they so never going to happen that it's not worth wishing for?

Big fan of Sword and The Sorcerer but I think the it's a rights thing, where the producer is asking way too much for the license. I could see The Philadelphia Experiment being more likely, as it seems to be a New World Pictures film.

Because neither of those titles generate the same level of excitement that horror does for most folks?

Probably because it’s been insanely long since it last had a decent release. I remember watching the Anchor Bay DVD, likely from Netflix, but that has to be almost 20 years old by now

Geek Gab gave a hint about an upcoming title. They simply said “carpet”. Any ideas?

Probably will never happen, but I'd love for them to do Broken Lizard's Club Dread. It's never been on blu. I mean they did Idle Hands, so this isn't out of the question. The only issue i see is Disney wanting too much $ to license it out.

Same here. I rented it from Netflix back in 2006 and they don't even offer it anymore. I really enjoyed it and would love to have it on Blu-ray.

Day 1 for me if it happened. LOVE Club Dread. Totally misunderstood genius in my mind. Broken Lizard’s funniest movie and an all timer performance from Paxton as Cocoanut Pete.

I've seen plenty of requests for The Sword and the Sorcerer, but I'm pretty sure it belongs to the same family that owns Alligator, and that seems to be the hurdle. They run a watch company in Beverly Hills (Chase-Durer, Ltd.) and seem to be as unmotivated to do anything with their film assets for present-day market value, as they are wealthy.

The Sword and the Sorcerer was released just ahead of Conan the Barbarian and was one of the more successful 80's fantasy films / independent productions, despite a relatively modest budget. Conan grossed slightly more, overall ($39,565,475 to $39,103,425), but with a much wider release and much sharper week-to-week dropoffs.

While I'm not sure if The Sword and the Sorcerer would sell Beastmaster UHD numbers, it may have similar potential, if a label were only able to secure distribution rights.

Hope, they release more 80s Horror Movies again; if Alligator or the Keep could happen, that would be really amazing. And a NOES Set would also be very welcomed after their previous two more or less definitive sets for Friday the 13th and Halloween...
