If it's new scans that isn't too bad. If it's just a re-release like with MBV that's extremely disappointing though.

If the rereleases were some 4K’s, I would be happy!

Lol calling Hammer garbage.[/QUOTE]

I call them garbage because I’m only into modern “basic b*tch” horror from the 80’s and 90’s. I tried with Hammer but it’s just not for me. If they have a Collector’s Edition with a slip, I’ll buy it! Lmao

Yeah, steelbook releases with 4K remasters (and any additional extras added) is a plus for me.

Tomorrow's possibly the big day, who's excited!?

That really would suck if that’s all they announce after the hype.

I’m expecting The Fog 4K and Army of Darkness 4K (which was leaked a while ago) as two of the announcements.

No more double dip steelbooks with the same scans as the earlier releases. I’d be fine with them eventually re-releasing all of their Collector’s Editions as 4K Collector’s Editions. The 4K format is really taking off now so it’s awesome that most boutique labels are jumping on the format. Arrow has been killing it with their 4K releases.

Wouldn’t mind 4K’s of:

Candyman
Carrie
Child’s Play
The Craft
Demon Knight
Halloween 2
Halloween 3
Lake Placid
Silent Night Deadly Night
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Trick R Treat
Urban Legend

As far as Hammer goes I don't think there's a lot left that they would bother to release. Night Creatures is possible as it does feature Peter Cushing but I don't see the others from that Universal Blu-ray set getting re-released by Scream. (Paranoiac and Nightmare).

She (1965) needs a Blu-ray here in the US badly. But I'm guessing they don't have it as they released the inferior sequel many months ago, probably a year or more ago, with no sign or word on the classic original film.

As for stuff like Creatures the World Forgot, Prehistoric Women and The Viking Queen, none have US Blu-rays but I really don't see these moving many copies.

All that being said I'd buy any and all to complete my Hammer on Blu-ray collection. If they do have some of the titles I mentioned some 4 pack sets like they did with the classic Universal Horror stuff would make the most sense as I don't think they would really move well at $20 each o their own.

Yeah, it will be disappointing for sure. Well, we'll find out tomorrow hopefully, if not then, by the end of the week.

Honestly... while I certainly have my preferences for films I would like to see from Scream Factory's upcoming announcements, the thing I want most this month is to just see another full announcement slate. Re-releases, IFC, 4k, new titles, whatever it may be, I just want to see that old slate of 5-6 titles announced for a month return. If I get that I'll rest easy as the rest of 2021 will likely only look better and better as time goes on.

The "news" about Code Red doing Carnosaur 2 was premature. Code Red DVD has clarified over the past few days that the rights weren't currently available and it appears that all three films have clearance issues.

I think there is a good chance of that happening. Hopefully, it's something that continues on for the rest of the year.

My predictions:

Dark Star (they have streaming rights to it and other Bryanston Pictures titles, suggesting Severin, Code Red, and VCI's rights are expiring)

Army of Darkness 4k UHD (was hinted at a few months ago)

The Thing 4k UHD (they still have BD rights and the shared 4k scan only needs a HDR pass approved by Dean Cundey)

Alone in the Dark and possibly other WB/New Line titles leftover from other deals.

Communion 1989 (unless they farmed that one to Roninflix like they did with Lawmmower Man 2 and Adrenaline)

More Hammer titles

More IFC titles

a new edition or remaster of BMX Bandits (The Severin BD is OOP and Shout have streaming rights to it now)

a new edition or remaster of Magic (Dark Sky BD is long OOP and Shout have streaming rights to it now)

I feel like now would be as good as a time as any to announce a Stepfather remaster and/or trilogy release.

Shout hasn't released any ITV owned material in a long time (though titles like Inside Moves were a sublicence to Scorpion) and the Stepfather sequels have issues with film elements. I doubt they would happen anytime soon but I'd say Scorpion/Code Red or RoninFlix would be better bets to release them.

I remember reading somewhere on here, that Shout had the rights to Stepfather II and III, but wouldn't release them due to the condition of the elements. Just wondering if you might have heard anything alone those lines? If that's the case, I guess they could sublicense it to Scorpion if the elements are not on par with what they are used to releasing. Maybe something similar can be done for the Tattooist if no better elements are found.

Shout were looking into releasing Stepfather II and III, but ITV didn't have any film elements at all for them. Another user said the 35mm IP for II that Synpase used for their DVD release, went missing while stored at a London film holdings facility.

Shame to hear this. I know a lot of fans have been hoping for these to materialize on the physical format in HD. Hopefully one day.
