I wonder if we’ll get a 4K release of Halloween II later this year from Scream Factory since it’s the 40th anniversary.

I love all of my Shout Steelbook reissues that contain 4K scans but I'm cutting back on Blu-ray double dips. It's UHD or bust. Having said that, I hope the upcoming announcements aren't just a bunch of UHD reissues, especially of titles already released overseas. The Europeans are coming up with some fantastic box sets (love those Studiocanal titles) so there's no incentive for those of us who import.

Army of Darkness 4k UHD (was hinted at a few months ago)

The Thing 4k UHD (they still have BD rights and the shared 4k scan only needs a HDR pass approved by Dean Cundey)

Alone in the Dark and possibly other WB/New Line titles leftover from other deals.

Communion 1989 (unless they farmed that one to Roninflix like they did with Lawmmower Man 2 and Adrenaline)

More Hammer titles

More IFC titles

a new edition or remaster of BMX Bandits (The Severin BD is OOP and Shout have streaming rights to it now)

a new edition or remaster of Magic (Dark Sky BD is long OOP and Shout have streaming rights to it now)
Other than Army of Darkness and The Thing, these are some pretty specific predictions. Hopefully they ALL come to pass.

Aren't Army of Darkness and The Thing also specific?

Hopefully they release Night of the Demons 3 soon, Or do a boxset of all three films and the remake like they did with The Omen series.

Yes but they're known. We've known about them, or at least suspected (in the case of The Thing). Something like Communion feels more random.

I don't see this happening with another film coming in March 2022. I'd love to get a re-release of the first film with the original festival cut included on it's own disc however. There are more than enough differences to warrant it getting it's own disc or release from either Paramount or another licensee and given the age of the film and the popularity of the franchise I feel like it'd sell well enough.

Question for you poster enthusiasts out there: Is it a good idea to buy poster frames online? Specifically, how are they shipped? Assembled? Disassembled? I've gotten into collecting movie posters and some are quite large. I don't want to be charged cargo rates. Shout's posters are more manageable in terms of size (that's NOT what she said ).

If they do start today, it's possible they might go back to the familiar style of stretching the announcements out over a few days (depending on how much they have to reveal of course). Of course, I'd prefer to get them all at once!

I really want these. Dark Star would be fine since it's just nice to see Scream get closer to being the Carpenter hub.
And there's still some IFC films I really want (maybe more Shout worthy if anything).

But a BMX Bandits release would be fantastic. I missed out on the Severin and my admiration for Kidman means I need it.

Why are people predicting BMX Bandits? Have there been hints of a re-release? It just seems so random. Maybe to ride on the coattails of the success of RAD?

We are possibly hours away from either some great news, or disappointing news. Either way, can't wait to see what it entails.
