No, but my copy from the last Shocktober sale fails at 1h9m. Disc is scratch/dirt free and I tested it on 2 reliable players.

I seem to recall an issue being brought up this week on the thread for the disc. Just to let you know. I checked mine and didn't have any issues, but Shout! or what retailer sold it to you should be willing to replace it if it hasn't been to long since your purchase.

I second this. But if you got it from Shout directly just keep in mind that they’re running behind on contacting people, so don’t get too worried if you don’t hear back from them quickly.

Well crap... I ordered my copy last October as well and haven't watched it yet. It ripped fine for the media server but hearing these reports of messed up discs doesn't fill me with confidence. Better dig it out and give it a FF quick check to see if the disc hangs anywhere.

Mine wouldn’t rip for my media server, so at least you have that going for you!

I appreciate you chiming in with that bit of info. I've found it's more likely for an incorrectly authored disc to not rip correctly but to play fine, the reverse usually isn't true so hearing that your rip had issues likely means my disc is ok.

Going through the last couple of pages in this thread, I see there's a lot of appreciation for Ninja III: The Domination. You guys make it sound like it's the crown jewel of Cannon cheese. I may just have to watch it again. I haven't seen it since the 80s. I was always partial toward Revenge of the Ninja. As a kid, I wore out my VHS copy of that film.

Speaking of cheese, TerrorVision is a fun film, but why pair it up with The Video Dead? That's just terrible.

Me too. I loved that film as a kid. I saw Ninja III one time back then and hated it. As an adult though, I can appreciate the camp qualities it brings to the table.

I would regard Domination as the best of the (unconnected) trilogy. Revenge... is fine as it goes, but it has lulls in the energy and truly comes alive in the extended climax. Domination is batshit insanity from start to end. Probably the only knock against it is that Sho Kosugi enters fairly late into the picture, but once he's in, he steals the Sho [I'll let myself out].

Press stop, then eject (leave disc in). Wait 5 seconds. Press Power (turn off). Wait 5 seconds, then power on. Repeat these steps again if problem persists.

How old is your player? I have an early model Oppo where discs frequently hang up. I'll get a menu screen but nothing happens when I press play. Sometimes the disc would play but only the audio portion (the main menu would show while the disc played). Pressing Top Menu used to work but lately it's hit or miss. I think it's time to retire the unit.

I loved both as a kid but that opening Ninja battle in Ninja 3 is hard to beat plus the V8 sex scene! Its like Showgirls meets Ninja the domination. B movie classic

Because Revenge was pure action while the stuff that makes Domination so much fun to watch today I just thought was stupid back then.

Got, I’ll give it a whirl. The player is only 2years old. I have had this happen on one other disc, my Arrow copy of American Werewolf in London. Funny thing is they both play just fine on my PS3 in my basement setup.

The Video Dead grew on me upon second viewing once I knew what I was getting into. I guess they paired them because of the centrality of a TV in both.

If Shout! Factory has more Warner horror titles in the pipeline, I hope they have some older stuff that WAC has not yet released to Blu-ray including The Phantom of the Rue Morgue, The Hypnotic Eye, Black Zoo, Eye of the Devil, The Shuttered Room, The Frozen Dead, It (Roddy McDowall), Chamber of Horrors, Trog.

Sort of makes sense, I guess. But there are a lot of unrelated films that have something similar between them and don't get paired up on one release. I assume Scream figured that each film wasn't strong enough to support their own release, so they'd sell better as a double feature release.

Those all would make great blu-ray releases provided there is restoration where needed, but I'm not counting on SF to do older horror titles, after what they did with the Val Lewton titles that WAC licensed to them.

I wonder if they are going to do any more Hammer titles? I'd like to see them do a proper job on Revenge of Frankenstein and some of the other Columbia titles. The Mill Creek set was fine especially for the price but Revenge did not use the latest remaster.
