I hope there's something new to 4K, even if it's already out from them on blu-ray. Maybe M. Butterfly (with a new scan) or A History of Violence on blu-ray or even better 4K. And to sound like a broken record, The Dead Zone.

Yes to M. Butterfly! I really like that movie! Spider would be great! But I don’t know who owns that. A new version of eXistenZ would also be nice.

I would love to see eXistenZ. I hope Paramount does something with it, as I believe they have it now with all of the Miramax stuff, if I am not mistaken it was one of the day one titles to stream on Paramount Plus. Either way, it needs some love.

Well I'm certain shout will be releasing Cool World... since it was leaked on fb ... and I can't see paramount releasing it themselves...
Also, can anyone confirm that shout has released titles that Warner Archive has previously... Last edited by jcole8882; 04-07-2021 at 09:46 PM. |

Sphinx and The Awakening were previously Warner Archive DVD releases.

Anyone know if Shout is working on Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams, and Blood In Blood Out?

I’m hoping for I Know What You Did Last Summer CE BD and Psycho 2-4 UHD in the July announcement.

It goes without saying that for me a Nightmare on Elm Street set still sits atop my most wanted list but it's a bit early in the year for that kind of announcement and it is still very debatable whether such a set will ever materialize to begin with and so I guess if I was to hope for this round of announcements it'd be that somehow the magical Lionsgate vault would somehow be cracked and we'd see brand new opportunities for new titles from them with a couple of long standing want list titles like Dee Snider's Strangeland, MAY, a CUBE set, etc.. As I don't expect that to happen I'd love to see more 80's style rubber monster movies, a Child's Play box set (or at least CE's of 2 and 3) and more off the beaten path stuff that doesn't immediately spring to mind.... More than anything though I'm just hoping for a lot of announcements so that the possibility is there for something for everyone. |

I think it's safe to say we can expect more Warner pickups. Former Warner Archive titles are apparently on the table so there are lots of good possibilities and not all of it horror. Paramount, OTOH, may be a little harder to predict since the studio now seems eager to want to release a lot of their own stuff in-house. There's always the possibility of more Collector's Editions of Paramount titles from Aussie label Imprint (I've already grabbed Fire In the Sky and Breakdown from them). We all know Shout is back and they've got some good stuff on the way so I wouldn't worry too much.

I still think that Sony will hold on to the I Know What You Did Last Summer films and, at the very least, they will release the original on 4K. It was included in their poll for potential 4K releases in 2021.
If we see more releases from Warner, I would like to see titles like Return to Salem's Lot, Private Parts, The Pack, and Deadly Friend (I know this title has been mentioned numerous times) get released. |

It might also be that Mill Creek retaining certain rights to I Know What You Did Last Summer is complicating things (their single release looks to be OOP, but it's still available in a set with non-related films). That said, it's always hard to know what the deal is with Sony and Mill Creek, and how this impacts others being able to licence said titles.
