Mine shipped already, too.
My order for "The Hand", "Explorers", and "City Slickers II" comes in tomorrow. Then, these will be a couple of days later. |

I wonder what the chances are that Scream might be able to make a deal with Netflix for their horror films at some point. Shout has been able to make deals with almost everyone like Criterion, so it would be great to see some of the Netflix horror films like Army of Dead, Birdbox, etc get physical releases.

I wonder if Shout will do a 4k steelbook or Starcrash and Death Race 2000. I think that would cover most of the original Roger Corman Cult Classics they released |

Coincidentally, I didn't realize that old Streets/Angel In Red DVD had been upgraded to Blu in 2011 (according to the database here). Bummer that I missed out on that. It's going for big bucks now ![]() |

That's a mistake in the database. The 2011 release was for the DVD. It never went Blu. And I can't remember if this particular DVD was a Shout website exclusive or not, like "Sweet Kill", "Black Oak Conspiracy", and "Naked Angels", thus why it's so pricey now.

Yeah that one was a Shout website exclusive. Still anxiously hoping they upgrade that one to Blu.

Ok, so here's my rant of the day. I'm a big Roger Corman fan and back in the day bought most of the SF dvd releases. I have slowly been purchasing his films on blu-ray. Right now I only have the Arrow Corman-Poe collection, but I plan on changing that. Anyway, of the titles released by SF my favorites were Big Bad Mama and Lady in Red. You can imagine my disappointment when SF decided to release them as store exclusive. Unfortunately, I don't live in the US and SF don't ship internationally. I get that at the end of the day SF is a business and that is a riskier sell and probably wouldn't sell like say the Friday the 13th boxset, but still. That being said, don't they own the Roger Corman library outright? Taking that into account, I find it a little bit hard to understand why they wouldn't make it more accessible. I mean, at very least do a limited run and sell it over at Diabolik and Amazon for the international customers. Now, I'm left with no other option but buying them over at Ebay at inflated prices. Oh well, it wouldn't be the first time I've had to buy something there. Ever since these were announced, I have been keeping an eye out for them on Ebay and so far no luck. If someone here manages to spot a copy at a more or less reasonable price, please PM me.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. |
