...so the eco cases are like 'the new hotness'? I kinda like these, what with the the cool cutout designs. You could use them as stencils or somethin. Perhaps get some spray paint and stencil tag your neighbors fence...car...dog. Be a ruffian.

Did anyone else have an issue with the latest batch of releases that Scream put out arriving damaged??

It seems a mouse or something must have gotten into my shipping box...

I ordered both Corman Limited releases and He Knows Your Alone...

In all 3 instances the inner parts of the cases have these large holes where the disc bed is supposed to be... did some animal get into my shipment and eat these holes into the inner part of my case???

There are also these zig-zag shaped holes behind the front cover that kinda look like arrows in a loop... man this is some weird sh*t... what kinda animal would deface a disc case like that???

Does anyone think Scream would be willing to send me some replacement cases???

I think it's equally stupid to pester Shout factory about a creased slipcover. If your slip is tore or significantly damaged during transit then yeah, ask for a replacement if you ordered directly. Similarly, if your case is destroyed in the mail I feel it's fair to ask for a replacement if you ordered directly from them as well, but to expect a replacement case because your otherwise perfect case has some recycle (Eco) holes in it does not constitute a full replacement program.

I don't like it, you don't like it, but it's an industry trend not just a Shout Factory decision and so I feel like there are better things we should be focused on then that.

Eco cases or not, the blue cases look awful on most releases anyway. Unless the blue actually matches the color scheme of the artwork (and it rarely does), it’s better to switch out the blue case for a black or clear one. Truly.

For everyone *****ing about the eco cases, Shout! Factory has the shittiest PR team on earth. I’m pretty sure Satan has a better PR team than SF does. The “mistake” story is ten pounds of bullshit in a five-pound bag. You know that, I know that, my dog knows that. As for their PR, the first major ******* moment I remember was when Hackers got a Blu-ray release in 2015. The movie was originally released in theaters with a DTS 5.1 track with a DTS Stereo 2.0 fallback. Needless to say, SF denied that the 5.1 ever existed. As more and more people pointed out that SF was wrong, they first kept kindly telling people that they were right and that there was never a 5.1 track, then got condescending, then just dropped snippy one-sentence answers (including “either buy it or don’t”), and then they finally just stopped answering people about it. Moral of the story: if you want to make money, don’t be a dick. Pestering them about their cheap-ass decision won’t make them own it or do the right thing. That’s the reason I bought Child’s Play from eBay for $40 instead of SF for maybe $20.
