I love Return to Salem’s Lot. What it lacks in typical Cohen sleaziness it makes up for in it’s absurdity.

For fans of the original Salem’s Lot, beware that this “sequel” has little in common with the original after the name.

I love Larry Cohen and Return to Salem’s Lot is one of the few of his films I haven’t seen. Can’t wait to grab it. I see it’s on STARZ though, so I may check it out there.

Did the DVD have any extras? I always like how he does a commentary or even an archival interview would be cool.

The Borrower is such a welcome addition to their lineup. Never even had a DVD. Fingers crossed for the uncensored version but won't hold my breath. Return to Salem's Lot is super fun. One of my favs. Looking forward to retiring my "on demand" DVD.

Hopefully I'll get to see my most wanted title get blued this year, Tobe Hooper's Night Terrors.

Sweet, another top want of mine that I can scratch off my list. Really surprised that it’s happening, let alone from Scream, so hopefully it has some decent extras. Maybe an interview with Tara Reid haha

Looks like August is June part 2. A pair of smaller, more low-key releases. Nothing wrong with that after a huge July. Makes me excited for their future stuff. Hope Army of Darkness comes on September.

The trailer to The Borrower starts with "Thanks to Warlock and Hellraiser the horror genre is hot again". Lol. The Return To Salem's Lot trailer is more like a teaser so I can't generate an opinion on it. I guess I'll do a blind buy since I enjoyed the original so much. And Larry Cohen is the director.

Still, I'm more excited about the Oh, God trilogy

What typical sleaziness? I've always seen Cohen's movies, at least the best ones, as idea-driven brilliantly-written stories with interesting characters, not as sleaze vehicles a la Corman studios product.
