Do Scream Factory movies usually come with slipcovers?

Never seen Return to Salem's Lot but I have always wanted to. I heard it's lesser Cohen but I'm still intrigued. Would be great if SF could redo Salem's Lot too.

I've pre-ordered "A Return to Salem's Lot", "The Borrower", and "Oh God!" Trilogy.

Just got in "Sphinx" and "The Awakening" yesterday.

I highly suspect A Return to Salem's Lot and The Borrower will be new transfers. After all, both are only available in SD digitally and look like bad VHS rips.

I don't know about The Borrower, but looking at the caps for ARTSL I think that for the most part it looks pretty good. I don't think they are getting new transfers as SF usually makes mention of that beforehand when they announce the title and in this case, there was only a reference to the special features.

I saw A Return to Salem's Lot in HD on Starz a year ago, It was a nice transfer.

All four of these titles sound interesting to me. I know "Someone's Watching Me" is a Carpenter film and i'll probably order that one but how are the other three? Worth a buy?

I remember The Borrower from my days of reading Fangoria, although I don't think I actually saw it. From the director of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, it also stars Tom Towles from that movie (Otis).

No, the score was by Harry Sukman (Salem's Lot).

Well, it's obviously a TV movie, and thus shorn of the widescreen visual panache of Carpenter's theatrical output, but it's a solid suspense thriller, worth a look for his fans. Plus, it's where he met his future wife Adrienne Barbeau.

Yeah, I know the direction will be on the level, but I love his movies just as much for their scores. The score for Salem's Lot is fine if unremarkable, although I like the opening titles a lot.

No Manfredini score on Stranger is a bummer for what is otherwise a pretty decent flick.

They're all solid flicks IMO. If you like Stalker/Cat and Mouse/Slasher type thrillers, then they're worth adding to your collection.

I watched it on VHS when it was released, mainly because of FANGORIA's coverage. I don't remember much about it, other than it was disappointing and Tom Towles is barely in it.

I'm curious to see it again, so hopefully I can do so without having to buy the Blu-ray.
