Finally cracked open He knows your alone and wow....its in a "recycle"cut out cheap flimsy plastic case. If you are charging a premium, don't use these horrible cases. It already has a puncture on the front because of this. Really pathetic. Kino prices are half the cost and they use proper solid blue cases.

Love everyones hopeful picks for Scream Factory.
I was unfortunate enough to have had too much of a "snotty, high class" taste in films as a kid and missed out on anything non-big budget studio or franchise growing up. So I miss out on joining in the conversation about most of these movies. But it also makes me fortunate to be able to discover them as all new movies now. ![]() These are a few of my holy grails that I would really like to see Scream Factory tackle: ![]() ![]() ![]() Kevin S. Tenney's Pinocchio's Revenge - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117342/ Lars von Trier's The Kingdom - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108906 Pascal Franchot's Milo - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167284 Last edited by anthony21879; 06-11-2021 at 01:58 AM. |

Is it safe to assume at this point there is basically no hope of Scream Factory releasing Child’s Play 2 and 3 or the Jaws sequels? At least anytime soon?

Pinocchio's Revenge is better than its gimmicky title (which wasn't the director's choice) suggests. I have a special fondness for direct-to-video horror of the '90s and would love to have that one on Blu-ray, but I believe it's with Lionsgate and thus something Scream would not be able to get.

I used to see Pinocchio's Revenge in the horror section of the video rental store as a child and think it was so terrifying. Conceptually it's absolutely ridiculous, but the trailer does make it seem like a fun straight-to-VHS horror.

I would love to see Scream put out the made for tv movies "Without Warning",the fake newscast with asteroids reaching earth and something like "Special Bulletin"..or maybe i guess this would be good for Shout!. Either way would be cool to see a making of or commentary about these rarely seen movies.

The Borrower has been removed from the Shout Factory Website at the moment. May be nothing but when things like this happen it usually signals either a problem with the elements or the license. Delay is likely incoming.
EDIT: Hmmm... it does still seem to be listed if a person clicks the "View All" button under new releases but it is not listed on the main page like it should be and when trying to use the search function it fails to show up as well. So maybe a site glitch? ![]() On another note, I'm quite disappointed that we haven't gotten September's announcements yet. I get that making a big post about the new releases is more work than it is likely worth sometimes but sticking to some semblance of an announcement schedule would be nice as it's these announcements that help keep things fun and interesting while waiting for the next title to release. Scream Factory over the last year has given less and less of a crap about bothering to announce things and it's unfortunate. Before long things may end up looking like Lionsgate where random titles just pop up without rhyme or reason at any given moment. |

I remember watching it on HBO over twenty years ago (yikes), and really liking it. I thought it was better than what the silly title suggested. I haven't seen it since, though. Same director as Night of the Demons, Kevin Tenney.

Shout may be sitting on The Relic 1997 from a prior Paramount deal, though I suspect Paramount might also put it out themselves. Wolf I can see coming from Mill Creek, though Shout would be the better choice due to better, but not great compression. I can see Shout releasing Lost Souls and Skeeter, maybe Xtro using Warner's elements. Shout may have Dr Giggles and more if Warner were also licencing out the Largo/Alcon titles. Ghost in The Machine, along with Shock Treatment, Alien Nation, The Nanny, were allegedly with Twilight Time at some point but had dropped them for unknown reasons. Shout might have some of these, depending on if they're sitting on more Fox titles that were agreed upon before the Disney merger. The Hitcher didn't happen as Warner weren't licencing out HBO titles. Cast a Deadly Spell is in the same boat. Tales from the Crypt: Ritual and Office Killer are Miramax titles that now reside with Paramount. Paramount aren't licensing out Miramax/Dimension titles. End of Days might be with Kino. The Keep will never happen due to Michael Mann blocking circulation of "the studio cut created by nervous old suits" and wanted to restore his preferred version before it was discovered the cut film elements were discarded by Paramount long ago. Shout were offered Razorback at some point, but declined because Warner didn't have elements for the legendary uncut version and a new 2k scan of Warner's 35mm IP wouldn't look much different than Umbrella's 4k scan and loaded release. |

As for Alligator, if the Producers' asking price is too high I guess that means UK label Second Sight will be releasing it ![]() EDIT: Just purchased the French Razorback steelbook. Artwork is the same as the Umbrella BD from 2019 so I assume the French disc contains the same scan. PQ got a 4.0 rating here so that's good. Last edited by Cinema84; 06-12-2021 at 01:32 PM. |
