There’s no real way of “knowing,” but I believe they do “guarantee” slips up to 3 months after release.

If they end up releasing Halloween 5, there's really no excuse to not include all of the deleted footage that IS still in existence and available. And if that's the case, it gives hope they might provide more, as far as special features, for the other films. There are deleted scenes from H2 and H4 that have never been released as well.
And seriously, just drop $10k for that lost footage from the original already. The guy paid $4k for it to not end up in the dump and has preserved it all these years. They can split the payment between Scream and Trancas, and everyone will be nicely rewarded in the long run. |

Yeah, it was talked about back when Universal put out the original H2 blu-ray in 2012 and the deleted scenes were upscaled. Nothing exists for II and SOTW anymore.
That said, the shooting script follows the finished film + television footage pretty closely. The two big notable exceptions are the reporter’s death (the one that talks to Dana Carvey), which was never filmed, and when Robert Mundey shows up to the hospital. The latter is the only thing that we’ve never seen, but there are photos of the scene at least. As for Return - I’m not sure if they ever actually found the footage. It was announced back when AB did the original Blu-Ray, but someone at the official Halloween movies website then later said they weren’t able to actually find the footage. I haven’t heard anything since. They (this time, they meaning Trancas) did find some of the original discarded negatives for Revenge, but it was at the same time that AB was closing up shop and Lionsgate bought them our, so there was nothing special that was gonna happen with that title. |

They actually did shoot the reporter's death, at least partially - per Rick Rosenthal and the actress Catherine Bergstrom. Aside from that, I believe there was another sequence where Michael is stalking Karen in the children's ward and sets off a cymbal-banging monkey toy. /jumpscare H4 - I remember that and I don't know what to think of it. They have footage. Whether its for both Return or Revenge, they have footage - likely for both. Whether they were allowed to go through the trouble of looking for it and paying to process it, at that time, no idea. That might be the culprit on that. A pretty hefty typo. No doubt there's always plans to do more for these discs and sometimes plans fall through - even when the material exists. Still holding out hope for H5. The search for that - which definitely yielded some stuff - occurred a year or so after Anchor Bay had already folded into Lionsgate. Lionsgate may not have been likely to do anything with it, but fingers crossed on Scream. Last edited by TravM; 07-04-2021 at 02:03 AM. |

No, they do not (yet). I say "yet" because they've been revamping their website. They do tell you when the collector's edition posters run out. They should say when the collector's slips are gone, ordering from their website. I've always wanted to know this.

Who knows what's possible. If 5 is the last one, you would think they would announce that with 1-4 and not have everyone wait a month for just one more. Who knows. Halloween is a pretty big franchise. If it's just 1-4 I would think they would have waited until October.

If it is 1-5, would be odd to have these come out in September, and not October which is where they usually reserve their big guns. I don't think there is anything bigger they could announce, outside of a Nightmare on Elm Street set which I would think they would space out from the Halloween franchise. You're probably right, but just seems slightly odd to announce 1-4 or 1-5 for September.

I think the key in your statement is first launch titles. The last few years we have gotten some pretty nice boxsets during October. October is when there is the highest sales potential for horror as everyone wants something new ready for Halloween. I would think they are saving some big guns for October.
