I don't know how everything works behind the scenes, but when the labels share release info with retailers wouldn't it come with a caveat to not list titles or open pre-orders before a specific date? I would imagine retailers could get in trouble for jumping the gun and basically announcing things before the label is ready to, so I'm curious why this can happen so many times without the label doing anything about it.

The artwork sucks, but I agree with what Jeff said. Dawn of the Discs pillage the internet looking for any dirt to leak so they can be the first. It’s almost tabloid type reporting.

I know They Live and Prince didn't have reversible artwork, but they always to have reversible sleeves for newly commissioned artwork, so I'm still hopeful that'll be the case here. Worse case scenario, I'll just use my existing covers from the blu-rays.

With September's releases already "leaked" this would be a golden opportunity for Jeff Nelson not to have the thunder stolen for October with a surprise announcement that HALLOWEEN 6 (both cuts), H20, RESURRECTION, HALLOWEEN (2007) and (HALLOWEEN II) are coming to 4K UHD.

I don’t get the hate for dawnofthediscs. If I didn’t get the info from these forums first (like with the Halloween releases) then I’d probably see them first on the DOTd page. I’ve actually had crazy days where I miss an announcement and catch it through that page.

But anyway…this was a retailer’s fault. Not like dawnofthediscs announces insider information. The page is just a source of stuff readily available on the internet if you know where to look.

He has just as much right to express frustration about a release not going exactly as personally hoped for as anyone here does. I just can’t Imagine all that coordination with “partners, publicly, legal and retailers” and a nobody like me can “scoop” (LOL) your s**t. Like someone mentioned above, look at your internal shortcomings. This information was made public, I didn’t hack into the Scream Factory mainframe. Why would I not share public information? This happens like every two months, you would think you could figure out how to not continuously have titles leaked by retailers. I don’t know, make titles exclusive to the SF website for a period time and then release the listings to retailers. It’s absolutely not my duty to run your business, but also feel no responsibility for posting information made available to the public by retailers YOU partner with. I’m sure some people don’t want the surprise “spoiled” and I get that, but if the info is out there, I will post it. I won’t take it personally if people don’t want to see it and bounce. Jeff seems to be giving me a lot more credit than I deserve. I’d say all praise and/or scorn goes to your retail partners. I just can’t imagine being “irked” at me for something that is not my mistake.
