I love the idea of rigid slipcases for each Halloween film but not with the commissioned art. I don't hate the art as much as everyone else but I'd prefer the original artwork. I'll grab these from Amazon

Yeah, soon. In the Midwest, we get cooler weather and leaves changing color in mid September.

Halloween is owned by Trancas. Lionsgate may have lost the license.

The midwest is Halloween heaven...the thing I miss most about it. When I visit home, the bars all decorated and the collage of leaves stirred by crisp winds is all so wonderfully festive, not to mention the smorgasboard of haunted houses.

They're waiting for Dawn of the Discs to announce the Summer of Fear sale first

Has it been confirmed that these will be rigid slipcases? I don't recall Shout ever releasing rigid style slipcases.

Directly from Scream. And they have done rigid slipcases before, for instance with Creepshow.

Quote:
For a limited time only all five releases will come packaged in a rigid slipcase featuring newly commissioned art from artist Joel Robinson. The wrap on the UHD case inside will showcase this art too but is also reversible if you’d like to showcase the original theatrical poster art if you prefer.

Has the absurdity of SF's price gouging already been gone over, they are charging an extra FIFTY for 5 tiny pins. That's the price difference in bundle sets, only difference I saw was the pins. Ffs.

There's a market for them. One Terror Train pin from the same company recently sold for $35. So imagine a whole set that's only available from Shout. That will surely fetch more than $50 down the line.

Man, that sounds nice. Here in crummy Central California, we often still have days up into the '90s going into early-October.

Exactly. It is barely July 7th, and I am already tired of the heat in L.A..

When I was in Arizona, I felt that summer was a 6th month long season

Hot weather is wildly overrated. At least when it's cold, you can stick the heating on or wear more layers.

With the street date of 9/28, do we think it's likely to be shipped out by mid-September if you order directly from Shout? I'm visiting some family in the states around that time, and would rather just save the shipping costs and potential customs fees, but also don't want it to arrive there after I've already returned to Canada.
