Winter isn’t that dangerous when you live in a place that knows how to handle winter weather.

No winter?
No ice skating.
No pond hockey.
No broomball.
No snow shoeing.
No skiing.
No snowboarding.
Waking up and hoping for a snow day?

The key to enjoying winter is developing winter hobbies. Luckily, my mom was into skiing and as a snowboarder and hockey player as a kid, I always (and still have tons of stuff to do in winter). If you just sit around your house watching movies for four/five months, yeah, winter is going to suck.

I live in North Carolina in the US, it was 90° F (32° C) with 78% humidity Monday morning, this morning it was 70° F (21° C) with an expected 3 inches of rain from the hurricane coming in, now it's 73° F (23° C) and sunny (less than an inch fell). Sometimes it's 85° F (29° C) on Christmas day, sometimes it's 35° F (under 2° C) and snowy. We are all over the place throughout the whole year.

Between concerts and movies I've got a couple hundred posters. I have maybe six actually hanging on the wall at any given time. Keep most in things like this. Easy enough to get out and flip through anytime I feel like it, beats keeping them rolled up in tubes at least.

What? Watching movies for four or five months in winter is awesome. It's my favorite time of the year for movie watching. You come inside grab a warm blanket with the fireplace going...perfection. I don't do any if those things and I still love winter, not as much as fall but close. I hate hot temps.

Corman only mentioned Bloodfist as being up for a remake.
That might be why we haven't seen the Bloodfist series on bluray yet. Shout may not have the rights. Hopefully it does eventually come out from one of these companies.

I doubt there will be much interest in a remake of a micro budget Don "The Dragon" Wilson movie from the Late 80's though, but I could be wrong.

Well Just Ordered Halloween 1, 2, 4 and 5 directly from scream factory. Can't wait to check them out in 4K. Couldn't buy season of the witch as I hate that movie and the damn jingle.

I've been bugging Scream Factory since 2012 to release Alone in the Dark. I'd like to think that my persistence has finally paid off. Well, now that my HOLY GRAIL title is finally getting a Blu-ray release from Scream Factory...and not just a Blu-ray, a COLLECTOR'S EDITION! Didn't expect that. Thought it would have gotten a standard blu-ray with no special features. Super excited for that one.

It's now time to bug them for my NEW HOLY GRAIL! And that is Black Christmas 2006 UNRATED as a Collector's Edition. Such an underrated fun slasher flick. It is in desperate need for the Collector's Edition treatment. Anyone else want that on blu-ray?

I live in New England I can handle plain cold no problem. I prefer it to the humidity in the Summer. I do not like how other people drive when my wife or I are on the road. It can be dangerous with ice/black ice more than anything. I don't build snowman anymore, I complain about cleaning off my too big driveway. Why we picked a house with an 8 car driveway (while having 2 cars) I will never know. I'm just glad we have a snow thrower now. Used to take 3-4 hours of shoveling when we'd get a foot plus of snow...Anyhow, only Winter hobby I can think of is counting down the day to Spring Training with the Sox

I have the Canadian Import, but I would gladly double dip on that with no questions asked.

I dunno. I was raised in winter weather and I played pond hockey and had snowball fights and went sledding and I woke up hoping for a snow day. Now during winter months I go hiking in the mountains and walking on the beach and running and bicycling through my neighborhood. I also read a lot of books and listen to a lot of music and play a lot of music and play with my kids outdoors and watch the same amount of movies in winter months as summer, fall, and spring months. The key to anything is taking stock of what you have and appreciating it. Winter weather is no longer for me, but I don't begrudge you for loving it, for sure.

The recent heat wave notwithstanding, the Pacific Northwest / Lower Mainland of British Columbia is probably the closest you could get to that. As long as you can tolerate lots of rain and overcast days, the weather is pretty mild throughout the year.

Sounds perfect to me. Stuck in the humid armpit of New Jersey.

@ShoutFactory
We drove the old Delta 88 over to the local S-Mart and loaded up on Army Of Darkness: Collector's Edition Blu-rays. So now, after a long absence, they are available again on the site. Groovy, right? Get yours at https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=4408

They're probably trying to offload more copies before they officially put the UHD on preorder

There’s no doubt. You’d think they’d lower the price some to motivate people more. Hell, IIRC I paid $19.99 for this at Best Buy over 5 years ago.

Considering many won't be aware of the upcoming UHD/remastered release, it does seem a little sneaky, especially given there's a good chance of it being up for pre-order within the next month.
