I have an interest in Elvira Mistress of Darkness, it looks like a fun movie anyway.

Sad they can not get it, but I see them making a deal with Lakeshore, who owns Elvira, Hellraiser, Hellbound, and Children of the Corn when the image deal expires. They are the type of company that knows that there has to be someone with the distribution rights to their films at all times.

but Scream Factory could release some Elvira's Movie Macabre on blu-ray as a box set. I would buy it. After all, they do have the rights.

I believe New Line released the 4-Film DVD pack some years ago. It's possible that they're with Warner Bros. now.

Sadly, I don't see that getting a Scream Factory release either.

We won't see ANY Warner Brothers films from Scream, or from anyone else other than Criterion.

Well hey, if Armageddon can get into the Criterion Collection, why not Critters?

Super excited to hear about The Burning, the Amityville sequels, and Ninja III coming to Blu! Will have to pick all these up, but definitely gonna check reviews on Ninja III first - apparently the German BD release is a confirmed SD upscale.

You shouldn't have to worry about that as they are doing an HD master.
Its a really kick-ass movie. I am a 56 year old woman and I liked it, even with all its possessed ninja ghost themes and extremely mild but noticeable Asian racism.

and how do you submit something to a mod to change?

Shout definitely won't be using the German BD transfer, which literally looks like it came from the '80s VHS master. It's going to be a full HD remaster on Shout's release. No need to wait for a review there.

Default Elvira

I'm in for literally anything Elvira on blu. The old 'movie macabre' would be amazing. The new 'movie macabre' would be okay. Elvira's movie? I'd buy two just to support it

I agree, the HD factory may be a problem for getting them on blu, but Im sure it would be worth it. I would buy more than one to support any Elvira material as well.

I actually met her when she pitched her idea of a movie in the 80s. They said no.

I'll need to check because suddenly I'm now wary and very worried should I pay for it.

I bought the 4 pack on DVD. I've tried to watch it 4 or 5 times, but have never made it through the first one.
