As we near the end of August 5th what do you think is more likely to happen?

A) Scream Factory learned from last months "leak" and announces new titles tomorrow, a few days a head of the supposed day they planned to announce them.

or

B) The new titles are "leaked" via another retailer listing and posted about here which in turn causes Dawn of the Discs to also break the news resulting in the fine folks at Scream Factory having an aneurysm as a result of the two biggest months of the year for horror being "spoiled" by Dawn of the Discs?

Given the lack of excitement around these parts I know which one I'm hoping for...

Knowing Shout Factory's penchant for "avenging" leaks by postponing/delaying titles, I'd say they're going to postpone their Elm Street collection all thanks to that Zolly Pecker douchebag. Oh, and Yawn of the Dicks.

I guess I should have specified horror titles...not that I should have to in a Scream thread. To me the really good horror pickings are slim compared to what we were used to in the past. Upgrades in PQ sure but not pumped for most of what's left of unreleased. I have a selective collection in total, maybe 25 to 30 dvd left overall.

I know that I am in the minority, but a small part of me, is hoping for a lackluster Fall release lineup. October is going to be costly with Halloween 1-5 on 4k, and the Phantasm 1-2 Special Edition Set.

Black Christmas 06, would be icing on the cake.

Given the low print run it's feasible that it's just an upscale, but man oh man does that look promising for a future US release. Fingers crossed it happens here and is a full on HD release.

Agreed. I am in no rush whatsoever for something major.

The Halloween 4Ks are plenty enough already. Then Star Trek 4Ks, Universal Monster 4Ks, Kolchak tv series, NECA Universal Monster figures...

I totally get that everyone's finances are being put to the test (mine included) with all the titles releasing in September, but if Shout were to announce their October lineup included the remaining 5 HALLOWEEN films on 4K UHD, I'd find the funds somehow.

Anyone hoping Scream Factory releases The Bogeyman (1980) this fall or maybe early next year? I've been waiting for VinSyn or Scream to release this title for years. I have no idea who owns the rights. Anybody know?

This film seems to be divisive, some folks really hate it. I happen to think it's pretty decent.

I wonder if SF will continue with the limited, Shout shop exclusive releases. The last one was the Big Bad Mama films, which was back in May.

Last I heard, Sony has it in the US. I’m surprised nobody picked it up yet.

I was just thinking this yesterday. I'd almost forgotten about the exclusive line until I came across my copy of Twice Dead while looking for something else. Didn't they say they would be releasing these more frequently?

88 Films released a Blu Ray several years back that I believe is still out there if you get tired of waiting. There is room for improvement given the age of the release but it is Region A friendly and I believe still available at a decent price. This and Xtro are two of the releases that I am still very surprised haven't received US Blu ray releases. I have Second Sights excellent Xtro release and so I can't imagine anyone topping that, but I'd love to be able to pick up a Boogeyman double feature with the original 1980 film and it's sequel (each on their own discs of course.)
